New T-Shirt idea
BlondeSense has had just about enough!
DR. RONALD CRANFORD, NEUROLOGIST
got upset on
the set of Scarborough Country last night
CRANFORD: Joe, youve got to get your facts straight.
SCARBOROUGH: I have got my facts straight.
Cransford: ...But you have got your facts so far off that its unbelievable, Joe. You dont have any idea what you are talking about. Youve never been at the bedside of these patients...
Why I call it Ghoul TV is because Joe ends the interview like this:
I have been attorneys for defendants. And what I always find out is, there are certain doctorsI am not claiming that this doctor is a charlatan. I dont know his body of work. I am not claiming that he is a hired gun. But too many doctors out there can be bought off by attorneys on either side. And then they come out, instead of telling you the facts, you get into debate like you are talking to an attorney. It is very, very disappointing.
So Joe calls him the Ghoul. If it's a doctor he agrees with then I guess they are ethical. Joe is supposed to compare notes with Hitchins tonight.

Remember when I said that I was cynical enough to believe if you signed a petition or donated money at RightMarch to "save Terri," you would be added to Phil Sheldon's mailing list, which he rents out to other groups and to politicians?
Well, per the NY Times, this has already happened...read on
Hopefully WOC will do a special on Ghoul T.V. starring Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough. I'm going to bring you a new chapter from Ghoul TV in a few minutes..from Joe the Ghoul man.
You know the story; the NPC asked Jeff Gannon to appear on a panel talking about blogging...
Well now there's some angry letters going back and forth....
and the punchline is : So this National Press Club blogging panel will take place in...the Holeman Lounge.
(Update)-Wonkette has her GannonGuckert Talking Points.
Dick and Lynne were just appalled.
Well Mary Cheney will for a half a million bucks.
Jeralyn points this out: Jeff Weise, the 16 year old who killed seven and then himself this week at his high school, had been taking Prozac. The news will now focus on whether Prozac causes violence and suicide. Why are so many teenagers prescribed these drugs?
Still another angle to the story is the similarity of Weise to the Columbine killers. Eric Harris had been taking Luvox, a drug similar to Prozac. This doctor says they should not be prescribed for children....read on
"Sometime soon, doctors are going to have to take a big look in the mirror over these prescriptions. Most doctors I'm sure believe that these medications are indeed required, but all too often they seem to be administered like candy. Who hasn't gone to a physician and been handed out some free sample of a new "wonder" drug just approved by the FDA? T.V ads paint so many drugs as the easier, softer way to happiness that it's no wonder why these drugs have migrated down to our children so quickly. I'm not using this as a defense for the shootings, but when will the wake up call finally take place?"
Pandagon via NY Times: The parents of Terri Schiavo have authorized a conservative direct-mailing firm to sell a list of their financial supporters, making it likely that thousands of strangers moved by her plight will receive a steady stream of solicitations from anti-abortion and conservative groups.... read on
I kid you not. The shame goes around equally. The franchise has begun.
via Steve Gilliard: Justices Refuse to Shield Reports of False Charges
All that had to do was say none of these charges have any basis in fact or get a quote refuting them. Real simple.
So how much is Fox going to give Michael Schiavo?
And Nancy Grace better hope Michael Jackson is convicted.
Right wingers are angry about the way the Schiavo case turned out in the courts. The unanimity of the rulings among state and federal judges, elected and appointed, Dem and Republican, this month and spanning several years doesnt lead them to believe theres a flaw in their legal reasoning, only that theres something wrong with the judicial branch.
Weve all heard the recent bluster. Rick Man on Dog Santorum, among others, have denounced the judicial tyranny hes seen. Not satisfied with bizarre legal arguments and overheated rhetoric, some Republicans on the Hill are making noises about taking their concerns to the next level... read on
I hope Steve is right and cooler heads prevail, but somehow I don't see that happening. Not when you have right wing TV, 24/7 denouncing activist judges, even when they are conservative.
