Mission accomplished, dude: Glenn Beck 'perfectly fine' being remembered as 'a complete nutjob'
Glenn Beck, yesterday on his Fox News show:
Beck: I'm sure that's fine. Teaching Saul Alinsky, that's fine. It's all academia -- you know, he doesn't agree with that. Good!
Then all the things I talked about are nonsense and I'll go down in the history books as a complete nutjob that was totally wrong. And I'm perfectly fine -- perfectly fine being remembered by that in history. I hope to be wrong.
Considering that this comes amid a rant in which he falsely claims that John Holdren wants "forced abortions" and that Obama was secretly teaching Alinsky to his students, and then rants:
They need to fear you -- and oh, they will soon.
Well, one can only conclude he's already there.

I predict that this nutcase will (and I hate to say this about any human mental wreck) blow his own brains out before his stint as television psycho anchorman is finished. I truly think he has issues that he wrestles with daily, and they have NOTHING to do with this administration.
Howard Beale
about him blowing his brains out.
No need to hope Becky....you are wrong already.

Bad Actor.
are prepping their viewers for when the REAL crash comes, and half the country is unemployed and/or homeless, getting meagre help and ho health care from Big Government. Who will they blame? Three guesses!
psychiatric disability, wouldn't wish on anyone, etc.
But, didn't Beck make a comment recently that orderlies in mental hospitals will turn the TV because it will scare the patients, etc?
Well, I have to disagree with him as usual. On the contrary, if someone's having a really bad psychotic break they might either A) think he makes a helluva of a lotta sense, or B) think that someone finally understands them for the first time in their lives.
Or, if they're finding their way back to sanity, then C) he arouses fear and pity in them...

You're never alone with a schizophrenic.
Barak Obama will go down in history, Glenn Beck will not. Glenn Beck will go to the dusty bottom of an obscure video file bin where, in 50 years or so, someone will plunk a disk into a viewer and say, “Who the hell was that jerk?”
thats what i was going to say. glenn beck going down in history... glenn who?
history, it will be referred to as a very dark part of our history, and if Glenn were able to hear what historians would have to say about him, he would not enjoy it.

..like joe mccarthy.
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"
Keoni: "NOT NOW MICKEY!"
Obviously Glenn's got a problem with that. But you can still learn something from someone who you disagree completely with or even think has abhorrent ideas.
And ironically, the woman who told me that was a conservative from my former church.
Of course, she was trying to convince me I shouldn't drop a World Religions class where the professor was racist, miogynistic, and a general whackjob. So maybe conservatives have a double-standard about that, as they do for many other things...

Your church died?

Although I did get a form letter from the pastor reminding me that the church's Christmas toy giveaway to needy kids is towards the end of the month, plz bring toys, etc.
Not that I don't love the kids of this town, and they are suffering too, but this year I think I am going to find the Amazon wishlist for the Pine Ridge Reservation and buy a couple of the children there some winter coats...
And make it up to the local children after I get moved into the new place by sewing some quilts for Project Linus....

One thing conservatives like to do when they face Witches on talk shows is ask where the charitable organizations are. The Witches usually respond that their covens don't have money since people aren't charged to come to the coven circle (although there might be some collecting for incense, candles etc).
But you see no one wants help from Witches, so we are forced to give through existing charities like Red Cross etc., and these conservatives know it, so they can accuse us of the lack of charity image they imposed on us.
However, it's my understanding that a group of Military and First-Responder Witches were the first in Mississippi helping out after Katrina.

I know a Witch who started something like the Threads of Compassion (it was a small org of sexual assault survivors who knit or crochet, knitting and crocheting scarves for the newly victimized to take home with them from the hospital) after Threads of Compassion sort of died out...

Interesting visual metaphor along with the practicality.
It's something like the Fates, Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos.
Hindu Gunas did the same things with threads of red, white and black (interestingly almost the colors of the Union Jack and Old Glory).
I always thought it interesting that Queen Gwynhwyfar and her ladies were always knitting. And since medieval tapestries were often of battles, perhaps that was a form of sympathetic magick to sew into fabric the outcome to the battle you desired.

I forgot there's a form of spell casting involving knots, primarily used for protection, but according to the Inquisition a form of cursing by tightening the knots.
Diabolus est Deus Inversus
I'm not sure, but I think the "Witches" of Lord Bothwell, when they were accused of trying to capsize King James I ship to drown him may've used knots to loosen wind. But the main method was throwing a dead cat into the seas.
Sailors often used such strands of knots, usually three knots to one strand to loosen favorable winds. However the practices were Christianized, both as the Trinity (three knots), and as Jacob's Ladders.
Additionally the Protoevangelium said Mary was sewing when the Annunciation happened, and supposedly she was weaving with the same three colors of the gunas.

I remember when the VA put me on some anti-depressant medication that caused me to lose my willy.
So finally after a while I told them I wasn't interested anymore since it seemed to get rid of my depression I had to have something to be depressed about.

Ideally, we'd be able to only take him as seriously as a dolt with a bad case of Jazz Hands, but no...take away the jazz hands and he's still out of his mind and worries me...

along the lines of Andy Kaufman. His name is Alfred Peachous, and he comes from Ontario. He will be remembered as one of the finest actors of his generation. The real question is, who writes the scripts? That is who will be remembered as a complete nutjob.
Maybe he can run for President or Vice President or maybe Emperor, since Lou Dobbs is thinking of running for the White House. I kid you not!
Alan Grayson for President, Elizabeth Warren for Vice President, and Paul Krugman for Secretary of the Treasury!

I admire Glen Beck's bladder control amidst all that fear.

Really. I have no problem with commentators giving their opinions on the country's political situation. I like most of them, even the ones I totally disagree with. I admire their intellect.
However, the creeps on Fox News are dishonest. They are spin-doctors in cahoots with the GOP. Furthermore, guys like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, if they keep up their act, will actually inspire acts of violence and extremism. If it comes to that, though their speech is constitutionally protected, I hope there is someone at Fox with enough sense to pull them off the air to stop people from getting hurt.
I love how a faux populist like Glenn Beck tells his minions to be weary of any community organizer. Common people with common interests sticking up for themselves? How alien! How un-American. It's starting to sound like a...gasp, democracy around here.
Glenn, you friggin' moron, it's called public service. I find it funny/depressing that you're shocked that some people don't just get into politics for politics sake, but actually have a goal of improving Americans' lives. But, you're too busy quoting the constitution like white-supremacists quote the Bible every night to actually know what that means. I think he actually thinks he gets us riled up because he's so "cutting edge." I'm just pissed that people believe this shit. Seacrest Out.
is that this idiot took South Park's parody of him as a compliment.
Nuff said.

what a freak n/t
It it a sad state of affairs when nutjobs like Beck and Palin are taken seriously by wide swaths of followers. The right wing fringe has become mainstream, and I don't think that bodes well for this country. I just read an interesting article written by Paul Krugman addressing that fact. He questions whether is country will become ungovernable.
Then you are a fucking idiot just like beck!
He will most likely blow his brains out because he doesn't have much to start with. Sad to say but if you look around you, you will see that every where you see of hear something crazy, you will find a republican! I have heard of mass hysteria but until eight years ago I had no idea there was such a thing as mass insanity.
But it is right there looking directly at you! Eyes glazed over, arms flailing in the air, hating people for wanting to participate in the American dream! Someone acused me of dehumanizing republicans and conservatives. I don't see it that way. They are the ones that have advertized their insanity, They have shoved it down our throats for that last nine years. They have worked at getting into this position for over thirty years.
Everything about the republican party was designed from the top down to operate on greed, while professing morality! But there in lies the problem. When greed is your soul motivation, honesty and morality become only something used to further inhanse the greed!
In the past eight years we have been watching what happens when a plan that is so ill conceived is put into action everything that happens after that point will be no good.
I think everyone can see what the last eight years have done not only to America, but my god look at all the people! Men, women, children, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands, wifes, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, garndparents, great grandparents, all the people that have been killed and injured in Iraq, and Afghanistan.
With everything taken into account for the last thirty years how can any other conclusion be drawn?
republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness that is killing America and anyplace else it touches!

You mean that my history teacher in grade school that taught me about Nazi Germany is really a Nazi? Wow Beck, thanks for the enlightenment. I just thought she was a sweet ol' gal who loved kids. I guess you never really know someone until Beck points out their true identity.
Whether you're fine with it or not, that's the way it's going down Glenn "Strange" Beck.
I guess Beck forgot to pull his head out of his ass during the 8 years of Bush, who's administration would lie, cheat, and steal in order to push their wars and economic policies on us.
