MSNBC projects Pennsylvania goes to Obama

This one is huge. Pennsylvania was critical to McCain's "comeback" strategy in nearly every scenario I saw, and the numbers were huge in Obama's favor.

Florida's hanging out there too:

Updates coming.

UPDATE, 5:32:

MSNBC's Electoral College count:

Obama 103

McCain 34

UPDATE, 5:36

Alan Grayson wins FLA's 8th.

Georgia called for McCain.

My native Keystone State was key for McCain. So that means ...

Fox refuses to call PA because they don’t have official anything (including WPE - within precinct error) stats.

Golly gosh…let’s hold off on reporting, unlike calling FL for Bush in 2000, right?

From little green snotballs…

(We’re trying to ignore exit polls this year, because they’re basically worthless.)

fastfeat's picture

Exit polls only, I guess?

I spent my high school years in western PA. My Democratic family has lots to be proud of!!! Woot!

I just heard on ABC News that since Barack's grandmother voted early, that her vote is still being counted. Hawaii law. God bless her.

Let's recall that horrible video of those Pennsylvanians filing in to the McCain rally spewing their hatred. Who's crying now?

ytknows's picture

Fox News finally gave in and called it... it sounded like Brit Hume almost said "this is a devastating blow for me-- err, McCain".. heh.

Levelheaded Moderate's picture

Well even those in denial can't stay that way forever.

Those crazy Dems are starting to party in Toronto. Reports are that they will bring in more beer and a 2nd Mountie.

Australian pundits have already called Ohio to Obama.

Ok I am changing my opinion:
FOX NEWS IS AS BAD AS THE REST.

Those right wingers do not like the truth.

Just heard early reports of statewide the count stands at 52% McCain-48% Obama. For Texas, that's fantastic. My county, Bexar (San Antonio) is 48%McCain-52% Obama!! That's amazing and speaks well for what is going on elsewhere in the country!!

I tried to see if I could live stream them to watch their heads explode, but no luck.

Yes

The whole site appears to be frozen. Except for telling us their the best news team in the business they've got nothing to say. I was so looking forward to their meltdown but it was more of an explosion.

Democracy is too important to be entrusted to politicians.

This is one to enjoy.
I've not lately heard the wisdom of Abraham Lincoln on the difficulty of fooling all of the people over a ridiculously long period (all) of the time.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

The number of actual votes for each candidate are almost identical. How the hell is that possible? There is no damn way that 50% of eligible voters are voting for McCain. No way.

ron's picture

Diebold machines?

ConcernedCanuck's picture

That is the only possible explanation Ron. Popular vote should not even be anywhere near close, when Obama is kicking his old ass all over the map basically. Something stinks.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

Popular vote is almost identical. Amazing considering the numbers for each state are not even close, except for the states McCain has won or is winning. ImFuckingPossible.

After Hurricane Katrina, why would New Orleans go Red?

NOBODY 2012

Roguette's picture

Because so many of the Democrats, specifically African Americans have been displaced and have not returned. They have moved to other states-and THATS why the demographic vootes are shifting from red to blue, in certain states.

It's official Barack has got Ohio!!!!!!
