Academy Award documentary filmmaker Michael Moore spoke at Occupy Oakland on Friday, October 28, 2011. Speaking directly to the media circled around him he says "We are all Scott Olsen!"

Obviously deeply moved as he speaks of the police raid that left Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen seriously injured when a tear gas canister hit him in the head, Moore called for a moment of silence in his honor:

"Not being here and watching from afar what took place here was really horrifying -- to see this, in this country. ... I think all of us want to send our best wishes, our prayers, our good karma, everything that we can muster to Scott so that he is better and well. ... Let's have 30 seconds of silence in honor of Scott Olsen and our hope that he will recover quickly from his injuries."
