Odyssey of the unimaginable.

The Nuremberg War Crimes Trial (and the several off-shoot trials which were part of it) began on November 20, 1945 with the initial phase lasting until October 1, 1946. In that period of less than a year the world heard, in grim and graphic detail, the true nature of horror that was Nazi Germany.

Press coverage was thorough, with both print and radio as well as newsreel reporting on a daily basis, letting the world know on no uncertain terms what was going on.

Here is a group of reports from December 11-20, 1945 as broadcast by Mutual Radio as part of its daily recap of the trial from the courthouse in Nuremberg.

The reports run a bit grizzly in places so . . . .use some caution.
