Morrissey - The new Elder Statesman of Angst.

Morrissey this week. Haven't heard him in a while. Not that I haven't wanted to, but sometimes you just get overwhelmed with current stuff and it takes up most hours of the day just sifting.

Having enjoyed Morrissey and his musical existentialism ever since The Smiths, it's nice to know (and somewhat gratifying) that his popularity hasn't ebbed in all that time.

This weekend's concert, from Santiago Chile, recorded in November of 2004 features an absolutely ecstatic crowd, singing along to How Soon Is Now and taking it from there.

A good concert from a powerful and enduring artist. How ever you feel about him, he's been doing and doing it for a long time and has the fans to prove it.

Enjoy.
