Lang Lang - heading into popstar territory.

Over to Madrid this week during the new concert season for Orquesta Nacional de Espana. This one recorded this past Sunday (March 13th) live and featuring piano virtuoso/popstar Lang Lang in music of Liszt and Chopin. The concert opens with a new work by Josep Soler and ends with orchestral excerpts from Wagner's Ring cycle (not a barn-burner performance of the Wagner, but you takes what you can get).

As always, the concert is broken up into two players with the first half of the concert (the Soler, Liszt and Chopin) on the top player and the second half taken up with the Wagner on the bottom player.
