The Zemlinsky Quartet - joining forces with The Prazaks. End result: very nice..

Back to Paris this week for a concert from the Folle Journee de Nantes featuring the Prazak Quartet and The Zemlinsky Quartet playing music of Arnold Schoenberg and Johannes Brahms.

A short concert at a little over an hour, but a very good one with the two quartets joining forces in Schoenberg's landmark Verklarte Nacht and Brahms: Sextet op. 18.

It was recorded live by Radio France Musique on February 4th of this year at the Salle Stefan Zweig du Palais des Congres.

Notes:

Folle Journée de Nantes : Schoenberg, Brahms

Arnold Schoenberg
La Nuit transfigurée Op.4 (1899)

Johannes Brahms
Sextuor N°1 en Si bémol majeur Op.18 (1858,1860)

Quatuor Prazák
Quatuor Zemlinsky

Concert (N°109) donné le 4 février 2011, Salle Stefan Zweig du Palais des Congrès.

Announcements are in French, but you shouldn't care about that by now.

Anti-Road Rage Wednesday at its best.

Enjoy.
