I think I have found Ireland's answer to The B-52's. The Chalets were a techno/indie/pop outfit from Ireland who are fronted by two female singers named Peepee and Pony (who are really named Paula and Caoimhe). At any rate, they've been around for a while (from 2001 until their breakup in 2008) and when I heard this track, Lovepunch, I instantly thought of Rock Lobster. Needless to say, this track will never get airplay but admit it, it's catchy. So rather than go deep, profound and mind melting tonight - quirky and quasi-mindless seem like an apt place to be right now, especially since it's April Fools Day.

You can read all about and follow what The Chalets are up to these days via their website. As always, exploring can be fun, even if the band broke up two years ago.
