Frank Sinatra - the teen idol days.

Continuing our look at live broadcast songs from the 1940's, I ran across this one - no date (but since the disc is glass-base I would say 1944), song tracks from The Frank Sinatra Program sponsored by Vimms Vitamins.

Here is the opening track, Oh, You Beautiful Doll featuring Sinatra backed by "The Vimms Singers" and the orchestra conducted by Axel Stordahl.

Strangely, this track doesn't show up on any of the discographies I checked. So this might be something significant in the missing materials from the Frank Sinatra opus, or there was a page or two I missed.

In any event, it's a great rendition, and Sinatra's in fine form - and the audience is suitably ecstatic.
