Memorable collaboration, classic album.

Staying in a Jazz vein tonight with a 1962 collaboration between legendary Hammond maestro "Brother" Jack McDuff and equally legendary tenor Sax man Gene Ammons in a session recorded for Prestige Records in 1962.

My buddy and colleague Mike (Mike's Roundup) Finnigan, late of C&L has been digging through his collection of McDuff tracks in recent weeks and putting them up on his Facebook site, and it's been an inspiration to dig through my own collection and keep this Jack McDuff Shout-out going.

So tonight it's a track off Brother Jack Meets The Boss and Mellow Gravy.

Considering how this week is shaping up, mellow is very much a high priority right about now.
