(Kula Shaker's Crispian Mills. Mom was a teen idol in the day.)

Over to Cambridge Junction in the UK tonight for a performance recorded on Speptmber 30, 2996 by Kula Shaker.

Fronted by Crispian Mills, son of 50s teen idol Hayley Mills and grandson of distinguished actor John Mills, Kula Shaker has been classified as a sort of Britpop exponent with psychedelic leanings, with a highly outspoken lead singer. They achieved worldwide popularity in the early 1990s with multi-platinum album sales before disbanding in 1999. They have since gotten back together with a new album on the way.

They're a good, if not particularly pioneering band which were part of an interesting wave of pop music. If you've never heard of the before, now's a good chance.

Remember - ignorance of your culture is considered uncool.
