The Motions - 1964 - hugely popular in Holland.

I admit when someone mentions Beat Groups, Holland doesn't naturally come to mind. Crazy, I know. But Holland, as well as many other countries throughout Europe, Asia and South America, held forth with their own brands of "invasion style" rock n' roll in the mid 1960's and The Motions were one of the better known.

Totally unknown here, The Motions were around a pretty long time (in band years) and recorded numerous hits that won them a pretty loyal following throughout Europe into the 1970's.

Tonight it's something from their beginnings - It's Gone was issued as a single in Holland in 1964 and subsequently issued on their debut lp in 1965.

If you think you know everything from that period of mid-1960's rock, you may have missed a thing or two along the way - and The Motions just might be one of them.
