And there you have it... the reason the Dems have their hands tied by the evil GOP. Stewart, in an attempt to be even-handed (the deepest cherished value of liberals) hands Chris Wallace 2-3 sound bites he needs to trash Dems.
At some point, Stewart should have said "Let's rerun this tape and count how many times you've talked over me or forced me to stop talking because you got uncomfortable." it happened about 8 times, and Stewart then allows Wallace to accuse him of "filbustering."
Dems are doormats.
There is no reason that people like Stewart and others cannot get into Chris Wallace's propagandistic, lying face and tell them off. That's the only language these simpleton bullies understand and maybe these bastards would change their tune if they knew they would be publically accountable for their lies and bullying tactics.

The bit with the Diane Sawyer clip is classic Fox News. The clip is from the day SB 1070 passed when it was as bad as Sawyer reports it to be. The language Wallace cites was added to the bill a week later in response to the outrage reports like Sawyer's generated.
So the one example Wallace has of 'mainstream media' bias is a lie. Pretty much says it all.

How has that changed? If anything it has become even more prevalent in the right.
We have won emancipation in this country. Civil rights and human dignity made great strides in the 60’s. Women’s rights reached higher than they ever had. Today we struggle so ALL people are treated equally, regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. But make no mistake, the forces who have opposed these rights, though temporarily beaten, did not just go away. They are still with us and always will be. And they seem to have found, if not a home, then at least shelter, in the GOP.
And that is something that people like Wallace will never understand.
