Help Blue America Get Alan Grayson's New Ad On The Air
By Howie Klein Tuesday Oct 21, 2008 5:15pmAlan Grayson is one of the sharpest and most progressive Democrats running for Congress in any district. He was the very first Blue America endorsement in this cycle and he's been consistently beating the corrupt, Bush rubber stamp incumbent, Ric Keller, in every poll since the primary.
You probably remember that John and I were big advocates of John Cusack's film War, Inc but what you might not know is that we sent an early screening copy to Grayson's campaign and he used it in Orlando to help contextualize the Bush Regime's war in Iraq and profiteering by GOP corporate supporters. Tomorrow, Grayson will be launching his newest TV ad and Crooks & Liars just got a hold of an advance copy.
Take a look and if you like it, please donate to Alan Grayson's campaign through our Act Blue page. The first ten C&L donors today-- of at least $30-- will also get a free DVD of War, Inc compliments of John Cusack.

Thanks, from a resident in the district.
My district is right next to Alan Graysons. Its so close, that if I lived ACROSS THE STREET I could have voted for him when I cast my early ballot yesterday. I do have the good fortune though to be represented by Corrine Brown who is uncontested this year. Grayson is running some really tough ads against Keller this year. One speaks of how so much money has been spent in Iraq that you could fill an airplane hanger with all that has been spent. Another talks about how Rick Keller cast the deciding vote against a $9 million bill to provide prosthetic limbs to wounded veterans. He says 'When you cast your vote this year, think about all the veterans who will have a harder time getting to their polls thanks to Rick Keller'. Since I can't vote for him though, I will gladly contribute to his campaign. I hope others will do the same!

I can't donate, sorry, but it has my full support.

Too bad he lost the Rasputin look. I don't really give a shit what candidates look like, but he had the greatest evil-genius fu-manchu ever.
And yes, he's a great progressive (Google or Wiki him), you'll see.
Saddest thing I've seen tonight, though, is McCain losing his marbles out in western Pa.
Th vid will be up soon on C&L, I'm sure.
Don't know if I'll be commenting anymore. It's been fun, and I'll still read. Thanks John Amato. Long live C&L.
One must 'look the part'. Have you ever noticed how CEO's 'look the part'? A 'successful man' has 'a look'. Kinda ubserd to US. BUT That how we all choose leaders.
You goin somewhere? We need you.
to know if I'm still here
"War, Inc." and gee-minee, that is a GREAT flick! Scary-funny. I had to wait for it to come out on DVD because small-town Texas theaters don't show things like that, and no way I'll go to Dallas! --MaryK
First time I ever donated to someone I can't vote for. But I liked his ad and I
think that this is at least a way I can get a legal copy of War Inc. (hope I was early enough). That movie never came within 50 miles of my home, thank the Cosmic All for the internet, if Mr. Cusack supports this guy I find that a moving endorsement. 14 Days to the new world order!

The rest of the world is looking forward to a few years of good - Democratic - leadership in the US...
