People For the American Way Congressional Contest
By Howie Klein Tuesday Oct 07, 2008 1:00pmI hope you've noticed the new Blue America box up top-- and I hope you'll click on it and get to know the Blue America candidates and help them get into Congress so they can work for the actual change that Obama talks about and that Republicans and conservative Democrats are determined to thwart. Today, though, I want to ask you to dig for someone else's efforts. John and I have become close with the folks at one of the DC organizations really worth trusting: People For the American Way. PFAW's Voters Alliance has endorsed a healthy batch of progressives for the House and, as you can see, there are more similarities than differences with the Blue America list.
They're running a competition similar to the one Blue America did a couple weeks ago. Our Senate and House contests raised over $100,000 for our candidates. We want PFAW to double that. Right now Judy Feder (D-VA), Gary Peters (D-MI) and Russ Warner (D-CA) are ahead, but Dennis Shulman (D-NJ), Doug Tudor (D-FL) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM) are catching up. Please take a look at their list and see if there's someone you want to "vote" for. And sure $50 is grand but if we've learned one thing at Blue America, it's that we can beat the Republicans and their corporate allies with lots and lots of $5 and $10 contributions.

Greetings, all. Sorry to post off-topic, but I'm hoping that someone can answer this simple question about the new forum layout. I saw mention in an earlier thread that you can click a button to change the comments from threaded to flat view, but I can't find that button. Can someone help me, please?

Right now, all my donations are going to the Obama camp.
Chris Matthews was talking to the crowd outside where the debate will be held tonight. Tons of Obama supporters in the crowd. He talked to one man who supported Obama. The man said, Look at this crowd this is what America looks like. Everyone cheered. Then he talked to other Obama supporters who were making great intelligent comments. Then Chris said, let's get a McCain supporter in here. He had to look for one but finally found one. He asked the lady what she wanted to hear tonight. The lady said I want to hear McCain say he will bring all our soldiers home and that he is a good christian.
Those comments told the story. Obama supporters are upbeat and excited while the McCain supporter was just as out of material as McCain is.
been giveing all my donations to where it really matters , the salvation army , the only worthwile charitable that really helps the poor, and a few bucks to the humane society to give a mutt a break! no sence in pissing my money away on rich bastards!
Doug Tudor and Gary Peters both seem like good guys.
