Joe Scarborough Slips Up And Drops The F Bomb
By Jamie Monday Nov 10, 2008 11:00am
While talking about the new administration, Joe Scarborough was talking them up by saying these aren't the kind of people to "flip you off" or say "f--- you", except there weren't any dashes in what he said. A few minutes later he starts to apologize about it, but Mika didn't think he actually said it. Well it turns out he did and they even got tons of emails about it.
This isn't Joe's first time doing this. Yesterday was the two year anniversary of him dropping another F-Bomb while talking with Tucker Carlson.

yea...swearing on TV is something I really don't care about.
....of assholes like this punk. Imagine what Joe the murderer would be saying if Rachel Maddow had made such a mistake?
It sound like maybe I missed something as i haven't really followed Joe much. But who cares if he slipped and used the F-bomb. FCC can fine him, or not, and we can move on. It not like this is the first time it's happened, nor will it be the last.
He also possibly was involved in the murder of his personal assistant, Lori Klausutis, whose body was found in his congressional office.
The story isn't news worthy...Killer Joe's hypocrisy is.
The sad thing is, he'll probably lose his job or MSNBC will get a huge fine for using a word everyone else uses in everyday speak.
The way Americans treat language and nudity is childlike.
But then again, Chaney said the F-word to a Senator, so I guess that it is OK. These people are above the law. At least, THEY think they are.
Because his show sucks. But if this is the excuse MSNBC was waiting for , well, by all means, show him the f*cking door.
The funny thing was, most of the show up until that point, they were talking about Rahm Emanuel using so much vulgarity when he talks. Then BOOM! Joe drops the big one. Karma can be such a funny creature.
I always knew Karma would eventially step in. After 8 long years of endless Bullshit, we are finally seeing the light.
The repugs are so upset about Obama and Emanuel, that they have to cuss.
As a poster in the earlier thread says, he probably didn't notice because he talks that way all the time off-air.
HA! XD
Why does joe look like he's been sucker-punched, and the other guy looks like he's reacting to joe farting?
Why are we expected to care about this?
his conservative bull for years. Talking down to us little people. It's nice to see him step in it for a change. Is that meanspirited? Maybe. But i really don't give a crap.
Because Scarborough jumps on everyone's shit. He won't little a little gaffe made by anyone go by without making a giant deal of it. He's mister know it all and Mr. No Forgiveness.
You people will never get it. Me, I love it when a bully gets his ass kicked in.
Oh no! A conservative commentator said a rude word! Woe is us!
This is just the kind of irrelevant garbage conservatives rely on. We don't have to be above that, but we should pretend we are. Acting like the adults in the debate has worked very well for the forces of change. Why stop now?
When the enemy is prostrate, you continue with the tactics that brought them to the ground. Senator Obama's campaign focused on issues and the other side focused much more on trivia. That was a big part of the winning strategy.
There ya' go again, Joe. Can I call ya' Joe?
You betcha.
The guy decides to make use of the whole english language. Too bad. Those of you who are truly offended need to get a life.
If I had a life, would I be typing now?
Exactly. OMG naughty language! Seriously, anyone should be able to use those words regardless of political party.
Seconded. People who get offended at words - any words at all - vex me to no end. It's pathetic, really, that they had to go on and on about it and that it gets immediate circulation on the Internet like it's a huge, shocking news story.
I think it's being covered because it's funny. Not because it's a 'big deal'. If it were a big deal I doubt anyone would be laughing and he probably wouldn't have a job now.
And by the way....fuck you.
Just like joe's non-apology to the adults.
"Hey if you're a kid, I'm sorry. If you're an adult, fuck you." LOL!
The stoopid. It burns.
but who gives a flying fuck if he's swearing?
I'm telling Michael Powell.
Didn't this fucktard rail against Bono and Janet Jackson for their judgment errors? I bet he will fight the FCC charges with some lame ass excuse like "I'm not an elitist entertainer and I was just quoting the fictitious people running in the streets yelling "fuck You".........see there I did it again and I didn't mean to........I'm one of you guys right?
When your mother was nursing you, did you have to wear ear-plugs?
and the fact that there's one less intern in the world.
Ugh, aren't those laws gone yet... I'm with George Carlin on this one :P Sure it would be unacceptable if it went over the top or was used derogatorily, but seriously in this context (in most context) it's fine with me. At least free the word "bullshit" there are so many times I just want commentators to call bullshit exactly what it is, bullshit!
Besides, somehow I can't imagine kids rushing to watch "Morning Joe" Just saying.
All they do is badmouth the left on that show.
It's not like he's the Vice President talking to congressmen at a photo shoot or anything,...
Scarborough is getting nervous about a possible investigation into the mysterious death of Lori Klausutis.
has done the same thing more than once himself!
I was eating breakfast, crunching away on my elistist granloa, when I thought, Did Joe just say the F word? Clear as a bell. I had to laugh he is such a beast. And Mika lose the new hairstyle... it does not work for you. And remember, we'll do it live...
I'm shocked, I tell you, I'm shocked!
What an asshat. Maybe he'll get fined, or better yet, fired.
Some appeals court the other week was looking into two cases where some singers or something said "shit" and "fuck" at an awards show on tv. They were showing the discussion in the court...it was on c-span. One of the judges was asking questions of one of the attorneys. He said something like, is there any way the word "fuck" can be used that doesn't suggest something sexual. To which I chimed it, talking to my tv, Fucking A there is.
This same judge said, when I say "shit and fuck" this is going to go across the air waves of C-span. Will I have broken the law?
Oh hell, seems it was the Supreme court I was listening to, not some appeals court. I wasn't paying enough attention. Duh!
You have the same bad habits I have.
Who cares?
.
Joe says:
What Joe meant to say:
Joe said:
What Joe meant to say:
.
acted as if they were 12, and their teacher said it.
Fucking immature, if you ask me.
Mika has begun to refer to herself as Mommy on that show. Before this situation today she was doing it.
I think Mika is a tool, but I like to think of her as my mommy with those knee-high boots.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OU7Nezg7Ls
A miss-kitty. That sounds weak doesn't it. Lacks verve.
Joe is beside himself since the election.
Another GOP scrotum licker that can't deal with the fact that his wagon is hitched to the wrong horse.
Poor Joe. I guess even FOX won't liberate him from that nasty old MSNBC.
Well, we know one thing for sure, they have no delay on that show. What they say is what we hear.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK...BUY THIS!!...FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK...ON SALE! BUY NOW!...FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK...FUCK FUCK.
The above brought to you by the wonderful world of deregulated broadcasting.
MONTREAL — It is the most crude of curses in the English language, a four-letter expletive usually avoided in polite company.
Yet in Montreal, the f-word is apparently not a swear word at all.
A municipal court judge has ruled that a man who repeatedly tossed the expletive at two police officers during a confrontation was not swearing, because he wasn't taking God's name in vain.

We're doomed! Doomed I say!
At my first job, my boss was a complete asshole who enjoyed firing people. One day he called in and told us he was going to miss two weeks because he was bitten by a squirrel and had contacted rabies. I was so elated when I heard this, I bought a bag of walnuts and fed squirrels all day.
Call me what you want, I hope this asshole/murderer gets fired for this FCC violation.
Are you typing this from home?
We can go around the globe murdering thousands, buy are afraid of a WORD?
For people who say this is no big deal, the funny part is that good old Joe was getting on his moral high horse about people swearing, and then promptly drops the F-bomb on live television. That's what you call an "oops" moment.
Exactly!!
Fired for an FCC violation? Is there such a thing?
what constitutes an FCC violation these days? Not paying dues? Literally every station owes the Feds money. Not providing "equal time"? No such thing.
Bottom line...Scarborough could take a steaming dump on the set at 9AM with cameras rolling and the other networks would be clamoring for the rights to replay it.
Let me dream L&P.
AirAmerica dumped Randi Rhodes because of what she said about Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton ... she said ... "What a whore Geraldine Ferraro is! She's such a fucking whore! Hillary is a big fucking whore, too." As she did it at an AirAmerica sponsored event, they were right to can her. That's a bit more than accidentally dropping the F-bomb.
In each of these situations a representative of a station VIOLATED their company's code of conduct. Whether it be by accident or on purpose, it is still irresponsible and could subject the transgressor to possible termination. One can always claim it was an "accident" later. Wordsmith it all you want...I don't give a "FUCK".
Violating their "code of conduct" could be getting a DUI or molesting a child. I'd hardly call those things the same or wordsmithing. What the Scar did is in no way comparable to what Rhodes did. AirAmerica canned her for abusive, ad hominem language.
Since this isn't the first time the Scar has done this, it will be interesting to see if there are any repercussions ... since this is cable, instead of broadcast tv, I doubt he will, and if he does, it will be minimal.
That is how companies control their employees while protecting themselves from various forms of litigation. You are unwittingly defending a man and a philosophy that tried to suppress the first Amendment rights of those who dared disagreed with them. The"F" word is nothing, but Scarborough is a career hypocrite who has vilified many for much less.
I hope the bastard gets fired.
talk about wanting to supress someone's speech.
....that's where free speech goes to die. Killer Joe will be comfortably at home with fellow hypocrite/bullies/liars Hannity, O'Reilly, Hume etc.
Isn't scarborough of FAUX cable news?
Cable is not covered by the FCC. However, there could be company rules he broke.
Remind me --- who is Lori Klausutis again and why is she fucking with Joe Scarborough's mind?
She was one of the Scar's aides, she was found dead in his office when he was a Congressman.
pleasure brought on by a good FUCK again.
Why? 'cause somebody fucking killed her.
Interesting location to die.
May she rest in peace.
Joe... Know anything about this? Really do you? Please answer the question Joe.
NO MORE BUSHIT!
Dude, that is so 2005...
Fuck you ,you fucking fuck.
EVERYONE CALL THE SEC.
GET HIM FINED !
OOP'S I HAD A McCAIN MOMENT THERE.
Everyone, Call the FEC, The FEC,
Call the Frick'en FEC !!
ROFL !!!
why? cuz fuck him, thats why! ;)
Now let's see if the FCC is doing their job. MSNBC should get him out fast and he and Tweety are an embarrassment and even breaking the law.
If all criminals could just apologize and move on our jails would be empty. I'm waiting for CBS and ABC to speak out about this. Joe is use to talking like this so it's normal for him and now his viewers know it.
Why does she sit there and try to lie about it and make it out to be not a big deal? He sat there and said, "F*CK".
They all act like they're afraid to cross Joe. I remember seeing David Schuster experiencing the wrath of Joe upon disagreeing with him and it ain't pretty. They all seem to be scared to tell Joe that he just f*cked up bigtime.
...they're still not sure if he DID OFF his office assistant or whatever she was. It's sometimes not useful to piss-off people with a tendency to be violent....
Puritanical America and it's virginal ears.
Grow up America, it's just a word.
its just that I want to see him get fired on a technicality.
why?
cuz fuck him, thats why!
Well hopefully my penis is too large to penetrate anyone's ear,
Not so sure if republican men can make the same claim.
Joe Blow is just another stupid, foul mouthed Reslug. with a show that absolutely proves his ignorance.
It's not about the word, it's about who said it.
Why does she not confront him?
Well...the last gal that did that.....
Ahh, well fuck Joe AND the FCC. Who gives a darn if someone says the word? Its just a word. And do we have nothing better to discuss on this board? Really? It comes down to this? -sigh-
"Cable is not covered by the FCC".
Glad to see that liberty reins in America for multimillion dollar corporations.
Until they go bust, then..it's all about public interest...and the good of the nation...and...
This is a non-story.
This is a FUNNY non-story. Lighten up foxbots.
mavericky!!!
i've never liked joe scarborough. i think he's a low-key douche...who can go 'f' himself.
People actually watch that show?
Can't really blame Scar for that. I think talking to Tucker Carlson for any length of time would make me want to drop an F bomb. And a C bomb. And maybe a MoFo. Carlson inspires that.
A while back they moved Joe from evening prime time slot to the early morning undoubtedly cutting his exposure in half. He is still a poor interviewer, a poor analyst and rude to Mika and many of this guests. Now this AGAIN. If he has a contract, why not just move him to the middle of night and let him narrate one of awful prison shows they have, say around 3:00 am.
It's new because of Joe history of railing against anyone who uses profanity. Joe came into Congress with Newt's intolerance army and made it one of his personal crusades. He has made a big deal anytime anyone has slipped up and used this word saying he was "raised better than that".
Much like when a pol cheats on his wife or is gay or likes porn or eats cheeseburgers. When you make an issue one of your pets and year after year claim that said issue is bad or evil or dangerous to our kids/society/world. Then are caught doing what you preach against, it's news.
Joe is a typical republican. Oh yeah, FUCK!
...and the F Bomb
http://apoeticjustice.blogspot.com/2008/11/mo...
what are you, the poddy-mouth police?? I do think there are more pressing matters going on.. Why no story on Rahm Emmanual? Seems a little note-worthy, don't you think??
This was an entertaining moment, but not more than that. We've all done this at the inappropriate time (such as in front of children), Joe made a very sincere apology, I'm over it.
BFD
I wonder what his wife had to say the day Lori Klausutis was found dead in his office with a fractured skull?
She divorced him. This is his second wife and family.
It's not the fact that slipped up and said fuck you.
It's the fact that he's a hypocrite.
Everyday he lambastes somebody for something, like he's angel.
Like he's above the frey. Well, he's a hypocrite.
After all the bullshit that has come out of his mouth, how anyone can give him a pass on this is beyond me.
He needs to be slapped with a huge fine and be fired from broadcasting.Permanently.
He's done this before. Yet he keeps his job. Why?
If this was Randi Rhodes, They'd have her head on a pike.
What's fair is fair. Hell, they had Dan Rather fired for doing the right thing. And he didn't violate the FCC rules.
Fuckem. Fire his ass.
Although I think the FCC should be abolished and America should rid itself of this latent Puritanism, I think it's only fare that Joe be personally fined and/or fired. If Howard Stern had uttered the same thing when he was on broadcast radio, the religious right would have had his head. It's about time they get a taste of their own medicine. Like my grandmother used to tell me: "Never spit in the water. You never know when you might have to drink it."
Joe, need I remind you of the "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television"?
Sh*t p*ss f*ck c*nt c*cks*ck*r m*th*rf*ck*r t*ts
That's right, Joe. You can't say the F word on television!
Jeebus, the response of Carney, Barnicle, and others was just like what you'd expect from a bunch of fifth graders.
Our adult media.
it's just another reminder that the religious right has their nasty hypocritical little paws in everything we do.
Anyone should be able to use "swear" words on television. If you don't like it, toss out your TV. Fuck.
If Joe is on Ambien, I've heard of some weird side effects of that drug. Remember the Kennedy in congress that had a wreck on it?
Though they operate with the same standards as if they were on an over-the-air broadcast. MSNBC is a cable channel which isn't regulated by the FCC. They technically can use any language they want, but the typical audience and advertisers may not approve.
who gives a flying F word , lets move on to something that's important
to anyone over the age of 14
who gives a flying F word?!
let's move on to issues that mean something to those over 14 hmmm?
