An old friend told me that after the release of Music From Big Pink, every rock band made a record where they were trying to sound like The Band. Procol Harum's A Salty Dog could certainly fit this description, and this is probably the reason why I like it so much. That, and the fact that it has a nautical theme, as I am a big fan of sea-faring history. What's your favorite concept record?
