Last night, I whipped out Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers amazing box set, Playback, so I could hear this song. From guitarist Mike Campbell:
"We were very green,' Mike recalls. 'We were just trying to learn the ins and the outs of the studio. Tom was developing his writing. He brought this song in on the guitar although he played bass on the track. Danny Roberts was gone by this time. It was just a rock and roll song. It sounds very young."
