Email of the Day: 'Blanche Lincoln is losing her base'

C&Ler Ross from Arkansas writes in about our new Blue America ad directed at Sen. Blanche Lincoln:

I am a resident of Little Rock, AR, and Sen. Blanche Lincoln never, ever responds to my emails. Sen. Pryor (who’s actually more conservative than Ms. Blank) and Rep. Snyder always reply, whether they agree with me or not. Hell, I’m even married to a gal from Lincoln’s home town and my in-laws are still friends with her family. She is in her own bubble and getting, what I believe, to be bad campaign advice. For some reason, she thinks she can garner some Republican votes (no way) by opposing any kind of public option but all she is doing is completely losing her base of liberals and moderates.

Arkansas politics is a funny monster. The voters here respond to leadership. Period. I’m afraid Ms. Blank ain’t up to it.

Keep them coming Arkansas.

about a decade ago. Clearly I'm no expert, but I'm rather surprised that there are many Dems in the state at all. Kinda struck me as an extension of northern LA.

I could go on for days about the political issues facing a liberal in Arkansas. I feel like being a democrat in Arkansas means to be ignored by most political organizations. Not only could we brag about getting our man (Bill Clinton) into office, but I also live in a voting district that has yet to send a single republican to the House of Representatives. I'm glad to see our problem with Blanche is being noticed by others.

But what if the Big Dog re-established Arkansas residency and ran for Lincoln's seat? Think he'd stand a chance in either the primary or general elections?

Hell yeah! Why, oh why, did you go and get my hopes up by even mentioning this. (My hopes lift way too easily.)

BTW, Blanch Lincoln controls Mark Pryor. If you call her office and mention Pryor, the staffer will interrupt to tell YOU what Mark Pryor says and thinks, saving you the trouble of calling both offices to inquire about anything.

We have a Dem gov, Governor Beebe, I love the guy. He moved in behind Huckabee, who left a BAD taste in most of our mouths. Huckabee only got in as Lt. gov during all the Clinton scandal-mongering, then became gov when Clinton-friend Jim Guy Tucker went to jail. I love Rep. Vic Snyder too. I may just not know enough about them, but they seem like better people than most govs and reps from other states.

Believe it, Arkansas could go BLUE again. This used to be known as a hopelessly one-party state: DEMOCRAT. It's always been up in the Ozarks that repugs sit and growl. And a lot of those are immigrants from Illinois. No kidding.

What is in this health bill that makes you want it to pass..
As far as I have seem , it only benefits the health and drug Empires while forcing 40,000,000 to buy this piece of s...
It only lets 2% of Americans buy this crap and not until 2013..
It does nothing for the rest of Americans except force you to buy health insurance and your cost will go up to pay for the new policy holders which were a risk to them.
For the representatives to force 40,000,000 more Americans to buy their policy is more people the insurance company could ever get in over 100 years. and then not nearly that many..
The health companies are starting to advertise for you to force your representatives to vote for this bill..

What does that tell you..

Of course they go under the name of a health doctor association which their names are not revealed..

If you see anything in this bill that is for the benefit of most Americans than point it out to me..

:/

AGREE, pete, thank you for mentioning it. This should be the ruling question every day. We're being HAD by the framing of the question: to pass (if you love Obama and your party better than yourself and your kids) or not to pass (if your fondest wish is to help the repugs feel orgiastic pleasure about something). STUPID framing, stupid question, all wrong, and we're all going to be SUNK by it. We are not in charge, and four-fifths of us are committed to the Idiocracy, hypnotized, waiting for the approved buzz words to be issued so they can repeat them.

come on a southern state and voters respond to leadership

what planet do you live on?

southern states are red states this has nothing to do with leadership.

check out how the deep southern states have voted since the civil rights bill was passed by LBJ.

that is your leadership in action.

it is called racism.

The people who made this add must of been listening to the Thom Hartmann show because he always mentions that senators and congressmen should being wearing patches of the corporations who donate money to them. Let them be like NASCAR and show everyone who sponsors them.

It is time to take Lincoln out of the Senate. Who will be her challenger in the primary?

that yields such a non response? This one set the new record. One comment in the first hour. Could it be that her non repsonsiveness to her own constitutents rubs off on C&L readers?

Young Blanche Lambert, later to be Mrs. Lincoln, was approached one day in her small pond of near-prettiness and utter mediocrity, by Satan.

Satan told her she doesn't have a soul, but that she could be a U.S. senator if she would promise him the souls of all her future children.

She replied, "What's the catch?"

How come Joe is not getting his butt handed to him in moveon ads yet, since the cowardly dogs in the senate wont do it?

:/

He will! We have to wait for 2012, the year the world ends according to that ancient civilization of bloodthirsty, child-sacrificing repugs, the Mayans.

Check this out. Looks interesting.

with an (R) next to their name than a Republican who uses a (D). We need to vote for the Blue Mutts' opponents in the primaries and if their opponent loses, stay home on election night. It will send a huge message that their seats are even less safe if they fuck us over.

:/

I was going to, but now that we have this watered down disgrace of a bill, this gift to the insurance giants, I don't care WHO stops it from passing, or why. Just get rid of it. Make it die. It isn't what we voted for, it's insulting.

Go Dennis Kucinich, thank YOU for voting against that tarantula. Boy am I glad I gave no money to Alan Grayson. Better sent to a quiet hero who just figures he's doing his job: Kucinich.

And thank you, Bernie Sanders.

They say Arkansas is a conservative state yet 5 of the six comgressional representatives are Democratic as well as the Governor and sizable majorities in the legislature. Ms. Lincoln has lost my vote. I send her messages asking for her to support health care reform and get no reply.
She has lost support and will continue to as long as she plays the game of pleasing stupidity and rewarding idiots.
