Rush Limbaugh Says Angry Blacks Are In 30 Year Plot To Train Black Children as Militants
As we are witnessing, the conservative movement is in shambles now and the only thing they can do is spew racist hatred out into the world and hope it sticks to their audience in droves. And how is the conservative right going to make sure race is all you can think of when you think of the name Obama?
How about by making the case that blacks in general are lazy, angry, and engaged in a 3 decades old plot to train black children as militants against the US? It's those scary black terrorists again. Don't think anyone would actually SAY that? Think again. Listen to it in Rush Limbaugh's own words. It's hard to cut out much of his racist diatribe so the full transcript will appear under the fold.

It was a movement. It was a Bill Ayers, anti-capitalist, anti-American educational movement. ACORN is how it was implemented, right under our noses.
It has been a movement, it has been a religion, and Obama and Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers were all up to their big ears in it.

From the time of my birth, 57 years ago, to today, this country has grown and expanded, prosperity has opened its doors for more and more people around the world, not just people born in this country. We know the stories of Asians emigrating and running rings around people born in this country academically in California. We know all about the immigration, legal and illegal, to get into the country. We know that the standard of living has risen. We know that technological advancement is going along at light speed. You ever ask yourself how it is that people not even born here can come here and in a few short years begin prospering in school, their own business or what have you, yet people who are born in this country somehow have been raised to hate it, to think they're still back in the days of slavery. I actually think, after studying all this ACORN stuff and reading what Stanley Kurtz has written about this, I actually believe that what has taken place here in addition to liberal Democrat legislation, such as the Great Society and the war on poverty, which a lot of people will now acknowledge really busted up the black family by the government taking the place of the husband and father, free to roam around and bear no responsibility. It seems to me that Racism is based on Fear. Even the disgust and hatred that is being spelled out towards those who are racist is based on fear. But how can we put an end to the fear that so many seem predisposed or conditioned to display?
I speak from experience in some ways. For example; I know that I am not racist; I simply do not like anyone for the most part. That is until I have met them. To me, everyone is an asshole until they prove themselves otherwise. Most people show themselves to be assholes until they prove themselves something else.
But I find myself quite ambivalent in this because as I have been able to meet other people I find that I share a common existence with them regardless of ethnicity.

The AIP is of the same idealogy as other far right groups that sit in the GOP. The ten minute video clip below reveals Sarah Palin's enthusiastic support of AIP, though it is not clear if she was a card carrying member of AIP. Todd Palin, on the other hand, was definitely a member of AIP, though his role is now being revised to a "low level" member. Sarah Palin attempted to appoint a known AIP member to her vacated seat on city council after she was elected Mayor of Wasilla. The head of AIP resides in Wasilla, and is a good friend of the Palins.

Actually, I kind of take his point. However, Obama isn't into the whole "the man is out to get us" meme. In fact, it's actually something he has talked about as well. The next step needed for African-Americans in particular to improve their lot as a whole is to set resentment politics aside. The fact is, there is a faction on the left that wants to hang on to that - that wants to continue talking about the disparaties of the past and present, rather than talking about where the solutions lie. However, Obama opposes that faction.
The interesting thing is that the one thing we can do to repudiate any remaining resentment politics would be to elect Obama. But Rush wouldn't think of that.

I have the fantasy that is these people were better educated they would not be racist, right-wing, bigots. For Limbaugh to be saying this must men that his polling data suggests that blacks are going to vote overwhelmingly for Obama. And so he's writing them off entirely and giving up any of his previous phoney baloney hot air about belief in equality. I don't understand something: Why is it that when blue collar whites do something or are characterized in a certain way, it's "hard working" or "blue collar whites." Same for "upscale educated whites;" "Appalachian whites;" "Southern whites" etc. but with black people it's just "blacks" or "African-Americans" as if we're all in some conga line doing the same movements? I am a black man who works hard, I went to an elite college, I take care of myself and have never expected a "handout" and nor has anyone in my all-black, all-hard working family. I have no illegitimate children. No one in my family has ever taken out a sub-prime mortgage loan, none of us have criminal records and none of us recieve a paycheck from the government. We are, by most standards, moderately to highly successful. The same goes for my black friends, my parents friends and everyone else of color in my very large black social and familial sphere. And yet we must be looped into this group of the lowest performing black people in the country? Does this make sense to anyone here? Why do some people measure all blacks by our lowest common denominator, and whites by the highest performing whites? The irony is, no one hates the often self-inflicted plight of inner-poor blacks more than we blacks ourselves. And we who do not live that way look at the epidemic proportions of tragedy and destitution, morally and otherwise, with more anger, resentment, confusion -- not at America but at the perpetrators living their American nightmare -- and, yes, embarrassment. I do not in anyway hate America. Nor do I in any way hate blacks who are suffering for a myriad reasons or the whites who believe Limbaugh is Gospel. But I do hate being marginalized with people who have nothing to do with me just because we have the same hair and skin color. Quite simply, in a country renown for independence, freedom and individualism, it's just not American to lump whole groups of people together like that. And one more thing: one can't compare immigrants to American citizens. If one wants to compare poor blacks with the Chinese, Indian, Russian, Arabic, European or other groups, compare them with the people who DON'T migrate here, but who live in poverty back in China, India, Russia, et al. because they don't have what it takes to get up and get out. Or compare those other ethnic immigrants to the legions of unsung African and Carribean immigrants who are just as successful and entreprenurial when they move to America as any other ethnic group. As a 55 y/o AA female who has lived my entire life in the south, RL has ABSOLUTELY no idea what he is talking about. I come from a family in which my mom and dad stayed married for 52 years until my mom passed in '99. My dad was a hard-working gov't employee and my mom was a housewife. I am a UGA graduate and a Mercer U graduate, holding certification in three areas. For him to make these comments should be against the law. No one in my family has ever been on welfare, EVER! RL is a fool. I wonder exactly how many African Americans he knows? I am a teacher and have often experienced racism right in my classroom when some white parents come to open house. I can see it in their eyes, their mannerisms, and in the questions they ask me. They don't seem to realize that I had to pass a test in order to do my job just like my white coworkers? But that doesn't seem to matter to them as soon as they come into my classroom and realize that I am a blck, highly educated person who just happens to be their son or daughter's teacher. Also, when shopping, there is this "assumption" that when I enter the store, I'm somehow automatically classified as either unable to afford what I've come in to buy, or I'm to be watched because I might steal something. Someone who has NEVER experienced what I and other people of color in America have experienced would NEVER understand because they really do not WISH to understand. People who think like RL (contrary to what they may think) are not at the top of the list of things AAs think about.

However if you contact premiere radio, I looked it up on google, the company that networks the show, you can do a little research to find out the advertisers or of course cringe through a radio episode and write down the companies advertising during his slot. Then on a grassroots level you hound the companies who advertise during his radio slot that they are supporting a racist and a man who is inciting potential violence. If there are enough companies who are trashed through eloquent and logically proficient writing through opinion sections of major newspapers, blogs, etc. they then will reconsider their advertising dollars and make it more difficult for the network to host the rush limbaugh show.

When do we, who have to live in this society, rise up to say 'no more' and go after this bozo. If enough people inundated his bosses I have no doubt that the racist, hate filled commentary would be toned down. We might even get him off the air.
I believe it is premiere radio network. Look on google. Email this network, find out who the advertisers are, contact them either formal letter or through opinion paragraph in larger US newspapers and threaten a boycott of those companies who advertise during the rush limbaugh show. Mention in the letter that through advertising during his time slot they are supporting bigotry and inciting violence.
