CO Republican's Tweet Compares Obama To 9/11 Hijackers
As long as the Republicans continue this sort of mindless hatred and exploitation, they will continue to slide further into the political wilderness:
State Sen. David Schultheis said he didn't intend for a Twitter post accusing President Barack Obama of "flying the U.S. plane right into the ground" and ending with "let's roll" as a threat or a reference to United Flight 93, which crashed during the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The tweet stirred ire and some support for the Colorado Springs Republican, whose standard eschewal of political correctness has earned him criticism in the past.
Schultheis' full tweet Tuesday was: "Don't for a second think Obama wants what is best for U.S. He is flying the U.S. plane right into the ground at full speed. Let's roll."
This isn't the first time Schultheis has stepped in it. In 2007 the xenophobic Republican fought against a bill that would require all pregnant women to be tested for AIDS because the infected children would teach women not to be such sluts:
Schultheis voted in February against a bill requiring pregnant women to be tested for AIDS to prevent spreading the disease to the children. He said then that infected children would set examples for women against sexual promiscuity.
The senator railed in January against public service announcements in Spanish encouraging people to fasten seat belts. Read on...
If you'd like to contact Senator Schultheis and let him know your thoughts on the matter, here is his contact information. Remember...be nice.

"Blessed are those who use Twitter, for they shall be known as Twits."
(I heard that from a comedian on the radio.)
I was assertive and told him that that kind of rhetoric is uncalled for and that although I may not live in Colorado, my money passes state lines just fine, and I would be donating to whoever ran against him. That kind of language is disgusting. Who do these people think they are? Conservatism, I think, really is some kind of mental disorder.
...and I suggested that he would have been one of the first to label anyone who said someting similar about Chimpy-in-Chief as anti-American. So naturally, I asked him why he hated America. Wanna' bet on whether or not I'll get a reply?
"Buy the ticket, take the ride."
Hunter S. Thompson
It's not just the language, it's his thoughts too. Apparently watching your children die of AIDS is a gleeful punishment for being so slutty as to get a bad blood transfusion. Won't do *that* again!
of Focus on the Family and the Hagee church.
Does everyone know that 1/3 of the Senate is catholic and 6 out of the 9 Supreme Court Justices are catholic as well..Then we factor in the the religious conservatives --no wonder we don't have Separation of Church and State!!!! No wonder they are willing to give away womens rights but no governor the Corporate giveaways in HC reform...
I think you meant 'Haggard's' church - Hagee is a good ol' boy and his church is based in Texas ....San Antonio, I think.

Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.

I never liked Bush but I gave him a chance because I actually care about my country unlike this fuckwad.
they are vicious and bigoted. What a nasty person.
Where was this dummy when bush was literally running the country into the ground??? Oh yeah, there was no twitter back then..
Sure his real surname isn't Shithesis?

By all rights, jackasses like this guy should be shunned, scorned, and then ignored. But they're not. Whether he believes the nonsense he spews, or he's spewing it for the benefit of the base that wants to believe, it doens't change the facts that a: the base wants to believe it, and b: no one that has any influence within that base is telling them to knock the crap off. Until that happens, men like Schultheis will only ever see their stars rise.
need to be called out every single time their racial hate is spewed. That way the heat is kept on him and people who may not agree with his personal views being expressed as if they were the views of his constituents will know exactly who this fucktard really is...
His sourpuss look belies his horrific belief system... what a loser!
Somebody elected this senile git.
Proud DFH, emeritus!
They are all jockeying for an invitation to appear there by saying the most outrageous things they can think of. This fool proves my theory.
Pretty awful. 8 stupid nasties for every sensible remark. The righties also think its a non-story! "Tempest in A Teapot" and "Get over it!" are popular responses to their state senator comparing the president to a hijacker-terrorist!
Yes but not only did he call the President a terrorist he called on any and all wingnuts to organize and take armed action against the President.
"LETS ROLL"! he says.
Something need to be done when anyone pulls this kind of anti-American
crap.
"If you'd like to contact Senator Schultheis"
I like to but the things I'm thinking now could be the words that get me in trouble.
I doubt he cares what I think but I offer this:

I get you're trying to disrupt every republican in every way possible, and I admire it.
But this is just a ridiculous headline about a pointless non-story.
I know it's just a throwaway blog post to distract and entertain us in our cubicles, but this is asinine.
I couldn't care less what some asshole republican tweets for christ sake. Look at this sentence. Jesus Christ.
The Iranians kept their protests over Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's "reelection" alive far longer than anyone expected by using tweets.
Diabolus est Deus Inversus
... because, frankly, it's language that belongs in grade school talent shows like Glenn Beck and Bill-O.
It goes towards demonstrating a consistent pattern of behavior - an exploitation of fear, a demonstration of hypocrisy, and a mean-spiritedness that extends through the entire conservative/Republican strata, top to bottom, Vice-Presidents to teabagging nutjob.
You're in a cubicle?
battle to allow them to work from home. Baby steps, baby steps...
At what point does it become a story or at least worthy of blog posting?
"When are we going to stop trying to tell elected officials what to do. Our job is to spend the taxpayers' money the best way we can." -- Tommy Watkins, Justice of the Peace, Crawford County, Arkansas
..this is sheer stupidity on the part of that elected official. This is total insensitivity to people who have really lost loved ones. This is hypocrisy. This is the republican party and they must be stopped; they've done enough damage to our nation and its time they are stopped by any legal means available.
CENSURE THE IDIOTS NOW!

Keoni: "NOT NOW MICKEY!"
Enough already! Take these republican(t)s down one at a time and every single time they open their mouths to insert another foot or show everyone who they really are... call them out!
WOW! Republicans i.e. teabaggers have no boundaries when it comes to insulting our President. They behave like mindless zombies using imagery from 9/11, a horrible and tragic attack that stunned and morally damaged our nation....not to mention throwing around terms like nazism, socialism, communism, constantly interchanging the words to suit them.......when did our nation become so vile as this?

i ask how. when time and again, these major as...es shift blame for our state of affairs in the country today to obama and his leadership. they conveniently forget that it was bush, rove and cheney who were driving the bus when it recklessly rounded the blind curve and went off the embankment. that all occurred in the last administration. where were these loud mouthed leaders of the congress at that time. they just whiled away their time and went along for the ride. the spineless dems need to strike back.

That is a dead rodent on top of his scalp, which acts as both: a warmer for his feeble mind, and a thought enhancer. Since that hear piece, from the mere fact of being a dead rodent, doubles the original IQ of this idiot.
It is time to tell politicians that have no answers to problems and only have negative name calling as their slogan to "Shut Up". These guys and gals solve nothing except to waste everyone's time.
It is up to the voters to choose who best represents them.
Perhaps he represents CO precisely as they feel he should.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. ~ Abraham Lincoln
..over the AIDS Baby statement. That he invokes 9/11 in any way is insulting to the families of the dead and injured. And to say that Obama doesn't want what's best for America, is about the stupidest thing he might think. At what point does a statement like this get the offender censured? Isn't about time, the Democrats beat back some of this stupid, hateful rhetoric coming out of the mouths of simpletons like this jackass.
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"

... STATE senator, but still.
he's a PRICK.
It's just that we're talking a different set of 'democrats' as far as taking this guy on is involved.
Rep Sh*thead discovers that twitter can be read by the entire world.
Also too, he said he did not ‘intend’ for his twit to be a reference to Flight 93? Let’s do this the easy way Rep Sh*thead. How many times do you tell the truth in an average day?? Do you need just one hand or two to count them up? Obviously you won’t have to use your toes.
... fly ... into the ground ... Let's Roll.
If that's not a clear reference to 9/11 and Flight 93, I'd like to know what it's a reference to.
Schultheis is paying the price for investing as much thought in his actions as one can expect for 140 characters a shot.
There's a reason we have a phrase in our vernacular that includes the words hoist and petard.
Refer this one to the residents of Colorado.
The only way to really stop these low IQ'S from spieling their innards and persuading like low IQ'S from beating their drum is to deal with the low life's who have gone unscathed before them. i speak specifically of Joe lieberman, when was this spineless turncoat ever brought to justice. the fact that nothing ever really happened to him has only given impetus to other less than's to have a soap box and an audience who will listen. deal first with with the lieberman's and the other slime will crawl back in their holes.
to get these motherfuckers out of congress and out of our lives.
tell it the way it is. I was born in colorado, and it was and is a racist state. Colorado Springs is perhaps the most racist city in the state, not because of the native born but because of the rich primarily Texans who now permeate the state. the country itself is beautiful, no one can deny that. but the land is not what we are talking about, we speak more of the carpetbaggers who have come with their antiquated racist ideas to either speculate or retire. they fence off the prime fishing areas and call them their own. they have huge land masses that they buy up and call them ranches.
this scumbag represents them and they will continue to rule this pristine country. and the little guy who has lived their for eons will not fight them, they will either just move on, case in point, or join the majority in that state in their backwards thinking. colorado used to be a great state, maybe, but i don't remember it like that. It always sucked, and i go back well over 50 years. it's no wonder so many of us moved to crazy california.
I was born in California and now live in Colorado. Perhaps you missed the Watts riots and before that the infamous Los Angeles Zoot Suit Riots of 1943, admitedly before my time, but not my mother's time. In the Watts riots most of my neighbors were grabbing some guns and wanting to drive down there to get them some Ni66ers. My own mother would sometimes turn around and walk right out of a resturant immediately after we walked in because she saw the cook was black, "I don't mind it if I don't know, but if I see a black cook I just can't eat." Isn't that special.
I don't suppose you've lived in northern CA? I don't mean the worldly SF, but the East Bay and more northern areas where you find red-necks that would make a Kentucky family blush. There quite the number of klan lovers there.
Sadly, America is racist. Folks from every state of the union could tell you stories about racism.
I am not defending california for i do believe as with people there are good and bad i every race and nationality. my diatribe here is with colorado. i experienced first hand the racism in growing up in a racist community and state. thankfully, i was able to leave before it had permeated my way of thinking. nothing can be said that would ever change my mind with regard to the backward way of thinking of those people. This senator's or rep's comments would only serve to substantiate my view. They are vile, ignorant people. too bad, because i'll always love the scenery of the state and in my later years, i've traveled there extensively, a lot more than as a kid.
thinks it's alright to intentionally kill babies after their born and to let people die if they're hispanic.
Just another one riding on his party's platform it seems.
Only when it comes to the unborn. War? Sure! Death penalty? You bet!

I have to say... it's a bit of a stretch to equate this "plane into the ground" comment with 9/11. Let's not call wolf over anything, and interpret their comments for the worst.
It's still a horrible thing to say, but I don't think it's quite 9/11 ish.
although I don't recall him saying "let's roll" when he ejected. Although it may explain his half assed landing?
From that picture, he looks like a pretty cheery guy. Maybe he's just constipated, perpetually?
far left loon >.<
... I love ♥ it. It makes for a great Time-Capsule!
Study the symptoms not the virus...
All these wacko idiots like David Schultheis have one thing in common: they come from backward flyover hick states where almost nobody lives. Why do we even bother with what they think or say? They and their states should have NO say when it comes to the federal government.
That's all. Simply appalling.
I would hazard a guess that if a woman gets infected - it's more than likely that she's monogomous and infected by the POS she's in a relationship ship with.
