Congratulations to The Blind Boys of Alabama, who brought home some more Grammys last night, winning Best Traditional Gospel Album for 2008's Down in New Orleans.

I got a chance to see the Blind Boys (more or less by accident) at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles last spring and it was astoundingly good. Most bands that have been around for 70 years (!) don't tour often, but thankfully that's not the case with the Blind Boys. They'll be on both coasts between now and March -- tour dates are here.
