And, the 'oldest musical instrument' yet found'
here
There is an audio clip played from a reconstruction. The notes are of a pentatonic scale in E flat major sixth.
In other words, the pianos' black keys in G flat (F sharp) transposed.
The most ancient mode (yet), we can only guess at their tunes.
throw immense sums of so-called "money" at gigantic failing enterprises while ordinary citizens wash overboard, without so much as a life-preserver.
Was this the cop that raided the gay bar on Sunday?

I'm sure after he showed up, all the patrons were suddenly claiming to be bad boys.
What the fu*k was the legal reason to raid that bar? What the hell were they looking for? Or was it just an excuse of some sort to make gay people miserable and try to frighten them out of town.
Still, drunks can be disgusting, obnoxious and dangerous. no matter what stripe of life you belong to.
I read the blog on the gay bar in Fort Worth, Texas being raided, but there isn't any information as to the reason for the raid. Does anyone have a pertinent link with the info?

in Honduras remind anybody of the coup in venezuela in 2000? Google "The Revolution will not be televised."
They remain dependent on the US economy so that's not a pretty future.
Bernard Madoff gets maximum 150 years in prison
149 big time crooks who got away.
How exactly is it a coup when the president tries to extend his stay in office but the Honduran constitution specifically states that anyone attempting to revoke/rescind term limits is automatically out of office for ten years, an action taken by the now-former president and a requirement upheld by the country's supreme court?
It would've been a coup had they NOT ousted him.
superior knowledge about their constitution? Constitutions can be amended. Calling for change in their constitution is not calling for dictatorship.
That Dissident Voice series is very enlightening -- not to mention that the Saudis tortured Iranian suspects into implicating Hezbollah for the Khobar Towers thing. And Louis Freeh -- what a horrible blight on US law enforcement.
And thanks for the link, Mike!
08:26 Evet: So you've partied with cops too.
Thanks for the linkage, Mike, and welcome back. Live music fans' loss is politics fans' gain ;)

"The few remaining limited-government types are
Hunkered down at Washington's Cato Institute."
—Bloomberg News, December 18, 2008
Dear Friend,
It's true that the Cato Institute is leading the tight against the explosion of federal government growth in Washington. And it's hard to deny that there are "few remaining limited-government types" in Congress and in the White House. But those of us who disagree with them are hardly "hunkered down." Indeed,I have never seen our side more energized and clear-eyed in its commitment to reclaim our liberties and our government from the statists and big-government advocates of ever, stripe who now infest our nation's capital.
Far from 'hunkering down," we're fighting back—most recently with the enclosed two full-page ads in dozens of major newspapers across the nation. Those ads led with the challenging headline:
"With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true."
The first ad dealt with President Obama's claim that there is `no disagreement" about the need for trillions of dollars of federal spending to get us out of the recession and financial meltdown. Turns out, there is plenty of disagreement. Nearly 400 top economists, including several Nobel laureates, signed our ad taking exception to the president's claim.
The second ad cites President Obama's assertion that "the science is beyond dispute": the threat of climate change is `urgent" and demands immediate, radical action. Again, hundreds of top scientists, including the highly respected Richard Lindzen of MIT, signed on to our ad, making the point that "the case for alarm regarding climate change is grossly overstated." There is plenty of scientific dispute over climate change hysteria—enough not to rush headlong into crippling our economy in a costly attempt to stop an unproven threat.
What is truly frightening about the Obama White House is its apparent unwillingness to even admit that there is a debate over these important issues, much less engage in that debate. But as the great, late Nobel laureate (and Cato Distinguished Senior Fellow)
