Halfway There: Republican logic strikes again, along with some rare Republican honesty
Prose Before Hos: Joe Biden is my homeboy
The Moderate Voice: Poor, poor John McCain...no more time and so many excuses
BAGnewsNotes: Birth of the Cool
On the eve of a hugely important election, the Opinion Mill's Weekend Bookchat salutes the late Studs Terkel, the journalist and activist who spent his life and career celebrating and defending America's best qualities. And Jane Mayer talks about how the Bush administration has spent its too-long life degrading those qualities.

Sarah Plain revealed as the dumbest candidate ever put forward for the White House.
Maybe Chimpy is dumber but he has better staffers, or ones that care
Even Snowjob if he was still with us would be peeing himself with laughter.
Sarah Plain is the icing on the cake, the cherry on the top, the fruition of eight years of a failed Republican experiment.
Boiled down to its bare essentials, she is dumbness writ large, the ultimate result of form over function.
You betcha.
thanks to W & his band of dragons, this past eight years has been one hell of a black comedy on our planet.
I propose a GI-NORMOUS global rally on inauguration day or perhaps the following Saturday to celebrate the end of the bush/cheney era.
I'm guessing the Europeans are already on track for such an affair.
Gobama!!!
Let's wait and see if Obama repeals the patriot act and stops the wiretappin and torturing before we go a hootin' and hollerin' through the streets.
I personally wont really feel like celebrating until Americans can sue telecommunications companies again!
When Bush/Cheney and the rest of the GOP & DOJ criminals are indicted, and MADE to show up, then I will celebrate.
Unfortunately, if Nancy and Harry are still running the show, that will never happen.
These criminals must not only be held accountable for breaking our constitution; but we need to get back as much of our children's money as we possibly can from these republican theives!
Amen. ...change we will be waiting for eh?
I guess McCain's mistress who was paid off by the RNC to "get lost until after the campaign" and was banned by McCain's aides from the "mile high club" on McCain's private plane during the primaries will dish her dirt tomorrow - one day before McPappy loses the campaign.
Even Vicki Iseman doesn't want to be associated with such a total loser.
That would be something!
Just because McDepends said "tell me it ain't so, Vicki".....doesn't mean that this woman is muzzled. Evidently, she's dishing the truth about their romantic relationship and McCain, the Womanizer.
But I thought they were the party of family values? The Borja family values! Bwahahahaha......
There is nothing dumber than an American who votes republican in 2008.
For anyone familiar with Capt. Tony's Bar, in Key West, Captain Tony died yesterday. I have had more than my share of fun in that bar and I'm not sure Key West will ever be the same. RIP, Captain.
Sing it loud and clear and on TV, tell the world what WcCain is really like.
Obama On The Trail Thursday (PHOTOS)
Good to see Obama, his people, and the happy public attending.
Rather a pleasant change from the the usual photos of the typical WcCain/Stalin reich rallies and their blood thirsty thugs 1%er losers attending.
mccain campaign spokesperson tucker bounds is predictably lame. that will become more obvious to some in the wednesday Nov. 5th edition of the doonesbury cartoon.
mo rocka on cbs sunday morning, his commentary, all the "firsts" in this election - did i hear him actually say "first woman", while a photo of palin is shown?
not to do

Should continue to be targeted relentlessly if he happens to win. If Clinton's Presidency revealed anything about the rabid right is that rabid was an apt descriptor in their quest to destroy Clintonesque Democratic control.
Rabies can be controlled if it isolated.

McCain Attacks Obama's Patriotism: McCain seized on - and took out of context - remarks made by Obama today to question the Democrat's patriotism
GOP Flier: Obama More A Friend To Criminals Than Cops: HuffPost's Sam Stein reports on a GOP flier circulating in Virginia that accuses Obama of being more of a friend to criminals than to cops
GOP Mailer In Pennsylvania Suggests Electing Obama Could Lead To Second Holocaust: Talking Points Memo flags another GOP flier that is particularly nasty
House GOP Leader John Boehner Calls Obama "Chicken Shit": House Minority leader John Boehner shockingly used an expletive to describe Obama for his "present" votes in the Illinois State Senate
Conservative Group To Run Rev. Wright Ads Through Election Day: National Republican Trust PAC has a major ad buy on national networks to run anti-Wright attacks
Obama Campaign Manager Questions Timing Of Aunt Story: David Axelrod is suspicious of the timing of the story about Obama's aunt living in the country illegally [The boosh white house maybe???]
McCain Campaign Demands LA Times Rlease Khalidi Video: The McCain campaign sought to portray Obama as an extremist after learning that the LA Times has video of Obama attending the same party as Rashid Khalidi. HuffPost's Seth Colter Walls discovers that this guilt-by-association game will be difficult for McCain to pull off [WAS THAT BECAUSE MCCAN'T DONATED $450K to Khalidi's group? Hmmmm!? A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.)]

keep the spirits up people
Melia Ann and Natasha
were all here yesterday. What a beautiful looking family!
It was the second time I had the opportunity to see him from about twenty feet. He went to a friends restaurant to try out some of this town's legendary Mexican food. I worked the campaign rally event as a volunteer.
He'll govern as a centrist. The vitriolic assault that launches on day one of his Presidency from the right will call it a fascade.
I hope he takes off his coat and governs executively like a community organizer. I personally think he needs to stress leftist emotions when it comes to health care at the very least!
