When do we start enslaving the white race? Wasn't that part of the plan, too?; ) (Just some early morning snark to start the day.)

We can start just as soon as Obama paints the white house black.

I actually heard a man call in to Washington Journal on c-span a few weeks back and say that he wasn't voting for Obama because he had heard that Obama was going to paint the white house black.

It got burnt in 1814, they painted over the soot (or what wouldnt come off)

Many of us already enslaved.

But, boy I can't wait until tomorrow. I have a whole pot of babies marinating now. Mmmm Mmmm sweet, sweet babies.

Save them until we invite Osama over for tea.

I get tired of listening to him bitch about his kidneys. And his blah blah blah ,death to America, over and over...

Steak and kidney pie?

Can't eat it without plenty o'

Dip

Dip them in chocolate and they make great Christmas treats.

Do they taste anything like chicken?

Who ever has had chocolate covered chicken?
Snark!

Angry Bear is a terrific blog. If you're into economics (or even if you aren't) it is a treasure trove of information and terrific debate.

Now...having said that...Larry Kudlow is a complete tool and a hack. The guy likes to portray himself as some big time free market purist, but the fact is he was the first and loudest to whine like a little bitch when it looked like the BAILOUT might not happen. He has shown himself to be a typical "free market until things go bad, then it's all government all the time to help save me because I'm too big to fail" jackwad. My view is very simple...you are either a free marketer or your not. The moment you say "oooh...government has to do something", then you have shown your true colors.

Bear Stearns should have died. Lehman Brothers deserved to die, and so do all the others that can't make it on their own. Welcome to the FREE MARKET. It's eat or be eaten. If a company is struggling, then it needs to pull itself by its bootstraps and work harder, or...oh welllllll. And please...I don't want to hear about the shareholders and the public money...yada yada yada. The deregulation of the financial markets brought HUGH volumes of the public's money into the private markets, under the pretense that it would grow and grow ad infinitum. It was the same BS that created the mortgage bubble. The fact is...markets are inherently risky. There are winners and losers.

I've ranted enough. Suffice it to say that Larry "behold my empty cranium" Kudlow is a hypocrite who made his money on the backs of widows and idiot sons.

If there was a face to represent greed in America today, it would be Larry Kudlow. In my life time (born in the early 70's) there hasn't been a larger disparity between the working poor and rich as there is now. George Bush and the neocons have been directing any and all prosperity in America to feeding the insatiable greed of corporate executives, and shareholders. Listening to Larry Kudlow complain about the continued existence of social programs, and his attacks on the working poor and middle class reinforces my belief that we the workers in America need to stand together against people like him.

Larry Kudlow doesn't seem to understand that corporate executives, and shareholders build nothing in America. The true strength of America is found in the workers, and small business owners. For almost eight years now the working poor and middle class have seen our compensation for the work we do decline, and our quality of life with it. Our patients for greedy old fools like Larry Kudlow is not limitless. His time would be better spent reading about the American and French Revolutions, than continuing his attacks on what quality of life the working poor and middle class have left.

Mike kindly linked to my post on the manipulation of markets by the shadowy PPT (officially known as the Working Group) a few days ago. I just wanted to remind everyone that the post was based on the excellent work of Ellen Brown, who has a new article on the same subject at OpEd News. Well worth a gander.

All Is Well in Stepfordville: More on the Pre-election Chicanery of the Plunge Protection Team

And for the record, it's not blog-whoring to promote someone else's work. Blog PIMPING, maybe. ;-)

that the Dow and other markets are rigged.
or if you actually look at how they react to the fake stories presented in the financial press.
That 900 point recovery came on the back of the mega oil profits, and some good news from banks, shame they are not paying out dividends.
You can read articles and intel from assorted independent financial experts that worry about trends and outcomes (the long road crew), then along comes a scant few good news stories then whoopi time, stocks rise.

WSJ and other heavies are in on the game too as agents of influence.
Almost always when theres a sharp plunge, something tries to correct it, we live in a non free market.
Theres always the rogues, like the hedgefunds last week who lost $30 BILLION playing the naked short selling game against VW and Porsche, desperately trying to squeeze 15% out of 5%.

I believe Larry Kudlow is the person that Colbert uses to create the character he plays on his show. He uses his mannerisms.

I don't like the idea of enslaving all the whites. What I would propose instead is to have regional reeducation camps for all neo-con illiterates. Mandatory attendance, 70% passing grade or else your TV is fixed so that it can't tune in Fox news.

TV

Fixing that many TVs would really bolster employment because not many of them would get 70%.

the current stock market which means the DOW to most is looking ahead to the upcoming RECESSION. specifically the potential UNEMPLOYMENT rate. the market is getting some relief when you look at the
LIBOR which indicates loosening of credit between banks. hedge funds are experiencing redemption
so a lot of selling off like commodities for instance. this is part of the reason crude oil price has dropped.
so fast. i watch the CNBC/market routinely they have been trying to talk negative about obama because of the UNKNOWN which the market does NOT like. the investor demographic has been making a lot of money and they want to continue that trend. can't blame them for trying. the BUSH tax cuts, deregulation and the weak dollar for exports NOT to forget the war(s) has helped many corporations especially in overseas manufacturing/selling products. NOW with this credit crisis regulation will have to come back so of course they say obama will over do it vs. mcccain

Those Ellen Brown articles I linked above. The government is (at least potentially) borrowing tons of money and using it to keep Wall Street on life support. With no oversight we just can't know for sure, but they'd like to make it look like the collapse (which has already happened) is due to Obama being elected.

Would you trust fractional paper gold, verse actual metal in your hands.

Yesterday, someone on CNBC said the market has already factored in an Obama win.

Sarah Palin while in Alaska to vote was asked who she voted for, she said that was the great thing about America is your right to a private vote and that she was keeping her vote private. WTF? Didn't she get the memo? LOL my wife just said she didn't say because she wrote herself in!

So she voted for Obama/Biden? Maybe there is a reverse Bradley Effect after all.

Markets can be skittish, particularly with unknowns.

The fact is that the market has settled down because there are a lot less unknowns.

First, Obama's support of the financial bailout (which I oppose), sent a signal to the market that he understands their issues. He has also intimated that he would not be against additional support.

Second, Obama's economic plan has been very clearly stated from the start. Whether or not anyone agrees or disagrees is not relevant to this discussion. The point is, the market knows what adjustments he is going to push for, and what the impact on business will be. Business is already making adjustments to their own budgets to address those changes. This makes their profit projections more accurate, which gives more information to the markets, and the market is reacting accordingly.

Gee...real information...a real plan. Information is the grease that makes the free market machine work. Throwing shit against the wall, slipshod, as the GOP Congresses and Presidents have done over the last 30 years, is why the market became unbalanced. The market prospered under Bill Clinton, not simply because of his policies, but because he had a clear plan and the markets understood where he was going.

Barack is doing exactly the same thing.

How about a Larry Kudlow Chocolate Easter Bunny.

Everyone could eat their favorite part...the whole thing would be one big chocolate ASS.

Eeeeewwww!

When Obama is elected everyone will be required to hug at least five trees a day. If you don't have five trees, you will be required to buy five and plant them.

give everybody five acorns

Thanks for the link, Mike. We'll all get together later and enjoy some fresh baby. ;)

obama's plan for rebuilding infrastructure is overdue. his plan has a lot potential to help this economy.
the minneapolis bridge was built under budget and on time. the grid is something that needs updating.
the people in silicon valley have been suggesting this for yrs. there will be plenty of opportunity for
investors to make money. the problem is they NOW want EASY money. they love doing business where there is less regulation and/or where there is cheap labor/nationalized healthcare. sometimes i wonder if they care about this country. DARWINIAN capitalism has reared it's ugly head and now we all have to pay.
so out of something BAD comes something GOOD. what's the good, obama and the strengthening of the middleclass and this country.

We still have to make sure that each vote goes where it should.

We'll be establishing centers for people to drop off their bibles and guns.

The re-education camps will open next week. We have a lot of work to do, teaching all of the conservatives about evolution, gay sex, and global warming, and how there's not really a magic rapture bus coming to whisk them all away before God nukes the place like Sodom & Gomorrah.

After the election will she become a pole-dancer?

Sarah Palin is Polish? ;D

I eat polish sausage for dinner

With plenty of sauerkraut, horseradish and boiled potatoes.

all the 'if Obama wins these horrors will happen'- All kindergardeners will recieve condoms once a week. All 5th graders will be required to read 'Das Kapital'- Before graduation, all students must have had sex at least once, preferably same sex relations-All citizens must exchange homes with illegal aliens-Blacks will be required to recieve double the pay of thier white co-workers-All guns, pickup trucks, and bibles must be turned into collection centers-God's name will now be Allah- Well,I'm tired now.Perhaps I'll think up more later.

Fertilized eggs can be canned up and sold like caviar to the elites.

Snark!

Too be consumed on little triangles of toast?

The world would like to see Obama become America's 44th President -- for two-hundred years, all of America's presidents have been white, from Washington to Jefferson and Jefferson to Bush. Asia tries to emphasize Obama's years in Indonesia, Africa focuses on his Kenyan father and the Middle East is concerned with his middle name.

Now, people around the world believe that the changes brought by the American election with not be confined to America alone. Guardian columnist Jonathan Friedlander says the history of the past seven years has made the world concerned over the importance of American decision-making, a long and painful learning process. "Two wars and a global financial crisis - in retrospect, these matters can, at least to a certain degree, be traced to decisions made in Washington." Even more importantly, contact between the Oval Office and the world has been shaped by personality

Can we go back to sex, drugs and rock and/or roll tomorrow?

Then its PARTY TIME

One thing that none of the reports of media bias addresses is merit

Certainly more stories were negative when reporting on McCain...he and his campaign behaved badly.

From proclaiming the fundementals of the economy as sound in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary to a quasi-suspension of his campaign that never materialized.

From the sleaziest of personality attacks to choosing the least viable vice-presidential candidate ever.

McCain deserved the bad press he recieved.

That isn't bias...that's journalism.

To quote Stephen colbert, sometimes the truth is biased. If one guy has a shit sandwich campaign and the other is fresh fruits cheese and crackers campaign, how the hell do you report that balanced? No amount of equivalism is going to make that shit sandwich as appetizing as the other delicacies available to the voter. Sure you can put lipstick on the shitsandwich and spin the sandwich and assertain that the other party really has the shitsandwich, but at the end of the day, guess what? Yep still a shitsandwich, what I can't believe is how many people took a bite of that sandwich and have the balls to sit on national TV and proclaim how tasty it is! How wonderful it is, how it's what Real America eats.

Concerning WcCain's grassing out his fellow Republican senators to the Keating S&L investigators.

Classy and just what you would expect from WcCain.
He did it with the MIA/POW investigations too in 1992, sealed and closed down all inquirys.

We should award Matt Drudge a 'hero of the revolution' medal now.

Hilarious that he became an enemy of the GOP the day before the elections.

I do agree with him that stupid Conservatives should be taken out.

Great Attytood piece. I'm so sick of conservatives whining that McCain received more negative coverage, when his actions demanded that he receive more negative coverage!

I find it an absolute JOKE that a party that portrays itself as a beacon to light and right(rethugs)is doing what it can to suppress voting.
Good luck America, make the right choice.
The rest of the world waits
