It's a brand new day.

When can we discuss Barney going "rogue" on a reporter's hand yesterday?

to hate the press pays off.

Why are my black smiley faces blue?

so I don't take much solace from that.

I don't see how, if ALL the same people are still in place, and all the same faces are under consideration, there's gonna be any of that change everybody was talking about...

Americans can hope for an un-cloaking of the government, if for no other reason than to know what went on. How the Lies were told and by whom. We (citizens) have a right to know who has mud on their clothes so we don't let them track it in again.

Open the books on what went on.

Article on mikemoore.com says publishers aren't willing to publish a GW Bush memoir right now. I reckon if he lays it all out in a tell all, fessing up to everything, with how he felt like a real chicken shit in that Florida school on 9/11 and on Katrina, and how he lied his way through 8 years, hell, I'll be first in line for that book.
Also, Here's something to stand outside of and have a great laugh:
THE GEORGE W BUSH LIBRARY.

Better hope there isn't a U.S.S George W Bush. Forget enemy fire, that thing would sink itself.

it will run on cocaine, jim beam and the blood of iraqi children

1. Emanuel was a ballet dancer, his father a militant terrorist
2. Stevens gets booted, special election, Palin runs, she's a Senator
3. My company is about to fold, sales down 80%, resume updating
4. My sister is in town, chinese food tonight
5. Why do we have to lend GM $25B to make fuel effecient cars which they should have been doing since 1974

for more Corporate Welfare?
They squandered their standing, they didn't pay attention to the trend of oil, they never did the REAL research for fuel efficiency, they never REALLY tried to develop an electric vehicle (too tied to big oil). They deserve Nothing from the American people but scorn.

it aint going to happen the crooks books are closed, we will not see any bush clones go to trial, wont see the books opened on chenys energy meetings with the big oil people, wont have a real investigation into 911, will have nothing but washington insiders in obamas cabinet, look for powell to grab a nice plum, ah! change it no longer smells like victory,

Obama has made one official selection and already the grumps start grumping. Not much change in grumpville if you ask me.

sure munch munch!

Government by and for the corporations.

Ideological purity of staff and advisers - this time on the left - would be just as big a mistake for Obama as it was for Bush.

Bush surrounded himself with neo-con mirrors. Those who deviated were sent packing. Bush's sycophants had various motivations, but all had the same goal which was the establishment of a U.S. empire in the Middle East and a two class society in the United States.

Were Obama to surround himself with no one but those who passed a litmus test administered by bloggers on the left, he would not get the diversity of input he's said he wants. Add to that, every blogger claims he or she alone is the true voice of the left, still lots of kvetching - lol.

It's good that some on the left are pissed about Emanuel. Were they not, were he nothing but a yes man, the problems of the last 8 years would be repeated but this time from the other end of the political spectrum

George W. Bush Library

"liebarry"?

In the words of Bernie Sanders: "If a company becomes to big to let fail, then it has become to big to exist".

Where's We the People in that chart?

Just a couple of things to keep in mind as Obama choses his cabinet. Obama put together one of the best campaign teams ever. He chose people with the right experience to get the job done. He promised to run a clean campaign. Everyone screamed for him to fight back as McCain threw everything at him. Obama stayed clean and none of the stuff thrown at him stuck. Bottom line, he won the election.

Barney's taking the Obama victory just a tad too hard.

rahm is both intelligent and firm/assertive/tough. i understand some of the problems hedge funds have caused. there will always be hedging and hedge funds. currently this country is getting more and more involved with businesses/corporation that are 'too big to fail". we need people that understand financial people and models.otherwise we may pay too much in the process. today GM is announcing how much trouble they're in. i recall recently that mccain was asked on meet the press about GM and there need for more cash. mccain said let's give them the first distribution first then will see. well GM is burning cash like cheap grade fire wood. obama knows he's at a unique time in this country. we/he need(s) smart people around him. i believe emanuel will prove to be an asset.

yes he won the election now hes either going to keep or break them, if he keeps them were in for 4 to eight more years of war in afganistan that means more useless deaths by to many ours and thiers , it allso means the rights bush stoled from us wont be restored it means more flag draped coffins arriveing at night in airports for familys to burry with no photos of greiving familys being shown on tv or in the papers it means more big mouth generals getting more stars from getting american kids killed for a pipeline in afganistan it means more stupid kids joining up to do the war whores bidding because thier hero says its the right thing to do!

that hes promissed

Smile for a while.

The conservatives have every reason to go apeshit. Their grassroots program 10 years ago dug up a lot of supporters, but no new talent. In the past 8 years they've lost a lot of that new support and the only new talent they found was an Alaskan Bimbo with sawdust for brains and a husband who gives his time to a separation movement.

This. Is the best. They could do.

Now the right wing economists are blaming Obama's election for why people don't trust the economic sociopaths on Wall Street with their money anymore. I can't think of a single god damned reason why any rational person should trust these clowns. They SQUANDERED the abilities granted to them by deregulation like spoiled little children and now they want more money from the populace just so they can do it again.

My advice. DON'T INVEST. Not until new regulations are in place. Your money is safer stuffed in a mattress of a bed than it is in the hands of these sociopaths.
