wow.......these people just can't let go of the wheel. obama has another two months before he get's in the
oval office and they're starting the HATE strategy already. what's the strategy personal destroying scandals.
what a surprise personal/dirty attacks instead of issues/policy differences. i guess some people need their
daily dose of hate radio.

Palin-lovers on the Republican Short Bus: "You'll be sorry! You just wait! You'll see! And then you'll wish you'd been nicer to me!"

Sarah Palin is a disaster. She's bone stupid, but I guess her fear of Putin's head flying across the Bering Strait fits nicely with the conservatives who are always fretting over which minority is going to steal their white Christendom from them next.

She's got a God problem. She's praying for God to open a door to the White House - but that's not how prayer works, IMHO. The Lord's Prayer says, "Give us this day our daily bread ..." - that is, those things we need, not the big-screen plasma tv and Lamborghini that I want.

She's got an ego issue. She's blamed her failures on the media, the bloggers, mean McCain staffers, the GOP, and George W. Bush. Because little Miss Runner-Up is perfect, dontcha know *wink*. It's why she obsessively fires people who disagree with her, and probably why she went through five colleges to get her degree - her professors all hated her.

We don't need another bone-stupid, egotistical clod from the back country who believes God has ordained them for the White House.

Figure it out.

But now Max Baucus — Max Baucus! — is leading the charge on a health care plan that, at least at first read, is more like Hillary Clinton’s than Barack Obama’s; that is, it looks like an attempt at full universality. (The word I hear, by the way, is that Obama’s opposition to mandates was tactical politics, not conviction — so he may well be prepared to do the right thing now that the election is won.)
So this looks very good for the reformers. There’s now a reasonable chance that universal health care will be enacted next year!

universal "coverage" with universal "health care" - an important distinction!

Mike, thank you!

And yet she continues to talk like she will run again in 2012, for President no less. God I hope the Republicans nominate her. I think she does nothing but help the dems every time she opens her mouth!

Shadowgm's picture

... is that she's decided she belongs in the White House, and it's up to God to make that happen.

God better be careful, we know how Sarah likes to fire those who disappoint her ...

I think "god" made it's answer very clear after all those fundie wing nuts told him to give mclame the win or else.
LOL!
I keep thinking back to that video of the preacher up front at his six flags over jebus circus church warning the lord that other people's gods were gonna laugh at him if he didn't show them what's what and give mclame the win.
I wonder how he followed that up after Obama stomped mclame's ass?
Did he tell his peeps it was their fault for not praying or donating enough? Or did he just go straight to the 'Obama is satan' garbage?

Even Chris Matthews talked about being uncomfortable with Palin's talk about God.

I haven't been on the computer much for the last couple of days because we adopted a little dog from the local humane society. Molly now has a forever home. Had Molly been named Sarah, I don't know if I could have adopted her. :)

a rose by any other name is still a rose, now when your walking her clean up the pettals rose leaves behind!

Blue Lensman's picture

I volunteer at our local animal shelter and it's always good to see a pet find a good home. Unfortunately, more seem to be coming in than going out. What's wrong with us (humans)?!?

ysbaddaden's picture

I'm hearing on the news more pets are being dropped off because of the failing economy and people can no longer afford them.

Recently a no-kill shelter had to ask for help because they were running out of money and within a couple of days $10,000.00 was sent to them.

And about a year ago food pantries were including pet food so poorer folk wouldn't have to give up food for themselves to get food for their pets. The city government felt that pets gave people a reason to keep on going, particularly the elderly, although of course were lots of letters to the editor laughing at the concept of charity for pets.

I buy food to donate to a food pantry here every week and I also buy pet food for that pantry. They welcome it for the people who have nothing much in their life but their pet.

ysb i purchased an 8 week old sheltie last december he was my third sheltie , my otherone after haveing his eyes removed because of glocoma had to be put to sleep because he developed kindney failure, i cried when i held him as they put him to sleep, i thought id never get another one but then it got lonely around here without my king, i thought of adopting one from the pound or humane sociaty but they dont let older people adopt a dog , so i bought one, anyway i dont trust anyone who doesnt like dogs or cats, and i donate every so often to the humane sociaty , and my boys all male even though my wife had him nutered last friday, it was a first for my dogs!

woody's picture

is the excuse to weep for them.

Because, of course, when we weep for them we weep for ourselves, too.

But mostly, USers are not encouraged to weep at our sorrows...

pissed off patricia's picture

Here the shelter has a elders to elders program. If older people adopt older animals, they get a big discount on the adoption fee. I think it's a wonderful idea.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

woody's picture

Should be more wide-spread...

lots of old folks outlive their old pets, but think they won't live long enough to invite another one in, and worry about leaving the animal without care...

when you've had furry friends, you come to understand about death and joy...

pissed off patricia's picture

This dog belonged to an elderly lady who had to move in with her daughter and son in law. The son in law wouldn't allow the lady to bring her dog to his house. They said when the dog was dropped off at the shelter, the lady was crying and crying.

Molly is a west highland white terrier and only 3 yrs old. She has a gentle personality. It was love at first sight.

The son in law wouldn't allow the lady to bring her dog to his house.

The daughter made a big mistake, seems to me, marrying that scum-sucking prick...

tyree's picture

i agree! with that, and that thiers no shame involved in shedding tears for a loved pet, sure ive been made fun of because of it over the years , but who cares ! most animals are better people then people are, and when someone i know dies i donate to the humane sociaty in the name of the deaceased instead of wasteing money on flowers and instead of donateing to politicians i allso give to the shelters its money better spent!

pissed off patricia's picture

I could not agree more!!!

Liberal AND Proud's picture

I'm greatly enjoying watching Palin achieve greater and greater levels of stupidity every day.

Obviously the inmates are running the asylum knows as the GOP, as no one can seem to get this mental midget and political half pint to shut up.

"Anyone that makes less than $150K in this country, has no business voting Republican."

Shadowgm's picture

... Palin'd be a national treasure.

Batocchio's picture

Palin is just the latest GOP litmus test for insanity.

As for the bailout company bonuses - how shocking, that companies that behaved unethically would continue to act unethically! I'm sure if Paulson gives them more money without restrictions, they'll come to their senses.
