Thanks Jon Stewart & Daily Show!!! Video: Jon Stewart Takes on "ClimateGate" - http://www.treehugger.com/files/2009/12/jon-s...
I was wondering when Jon Stewart would finally weigh in on so-called 'Climate Gate' the non-controversy that the climate change deniers are clinging to as 'smoking gun' proof that climate change is some sort of a weird, massive conspiracy perpetrated by liberal elite ne'er do wells.
Stewart takes on popular TH targets like Senator James Inhofe, the thinness of the Climate Gate case, and gives some 'friendly words of advice' to the climate scientists in question. Enjoy...
The con-servative morons that buy this tinfoil 'swiftboat' swill hook, line, & sinker are absolutely worthless wastes of existence and have no clue about climate science, the jargon used between them, and are idiotically literal to a damning fault (to themselves)...

How much will we pay to avoid serious harm to our children and grandchildren? - http://www.grist.org/article/2009-12-01-what-...
International climate change negotiations have centered on which countries are willing to pay, how much, and when. Putting aside bickering over who will pick up the tab, the most central question that we need to ask is: What are we willing to pay to avoid serious harm to our children and grandchildren?
In 45 to 50 years the current generation of adults will be at the end their lives. Today’s children will be at the peaks of their careers, raising families of their own, maybe thinking about retiring. That is when the more severe effects of climate change will begin to kick-in—droughts, floods, rising sea levels—potentially causing drastic interruptions in their lives.
We need to decide how much we are willing to pay to stop that from happening.

We May Be Born With an Urge to Help - http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/2009120...
Testing very young children, and comparing human children with those of chimpanzees, biologists are seeking to discover what is distinctively human. The somewhat surprising answer at which some biologists have arrived is that babies are innately sociable and helpful to others. Of course every animal must to some extent be selfish to survive. But the biologists also see in humans a natural willingness to help.
So we are born innocent, and then right wingnutty ideologies creep in and ruin humanity....makes sense...

Kucinich on Obama’s Escalation: Great Speech, Bad Policy - http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/kucinich_...
The other “peace candidate” in the 2008 Democratic primary isn’t thrilled with the president’s order to radically escalate the war in Afghanistan, no matter if there’s an exit strategy: “What are we going to learn in 18 months that we haven’t already learned in the last eight years?”

Rush Limbaugh: America's Biggest Welfare Recipient - http://www.beggarscanbechoosers.com/2009/12/r...
Rush Limbaugh is always bitching and moaning about welfare recipients (indeed, he slams any working person who gets any kind of assistance from the government). Of course, Limbaugh exempts himself from his screeds about welfare. After all, the OxyMoron gets loads of welfare himself. Indeed, Limbaugh's entire business is dependent on complete and total free usage of the public airwaves, a tangible and valuable asset that We The People own.
Truly amazing world we live in, where an a-hole that lies about everything can make so much money off so many idiotic people who are stupid by choice....amazing...

Cluster Fox Noise proving its "Infotainment for morons": When cavemen roamed the earth 3,000 years ago?! [video] - http://www.desmogblog.com/when-cavemen-roamed...
Fox Noise loves it's strange science when it comes to climate change, but a recent interview with Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R) shows just how sad this channel really has become.
On the Red Eye show, McCotter makes a strange argument that climate change is nothing to worry about because if we all think back to when cavemen were hunting Mastodons in 1,000 BC, they weren;t worried about melting glaciers.
Really? Cavemen and giant elephant like beasts 3,000 years ago? 1,000 BC was actually the around the time of the Iron Age and Mastodons had already been extinct for about 9,000 years.
As for glacier melt, as Lee Ang on ThinkProgress points out, McCotter was off on that point by only a mere 14,000 years. Not suprisingly, Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld's reaction to McCotter's ignorance is nothing more than a high-school giggle.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has conclusively shown that carbon emissions, caused chiefly by the burning of fossil fuels, are the largest contributor to global warming. If McCotter is interested in what sets this "period in history" apart, he should know that every single year of this century (2001-2008) has been among the top ten warmest years since instrumental records began.
Proof everyday that Cluster Fox Noise is the televised version of the 'Weekly World News'.....with Glenn 'Happy Feet-University of I don't remember' Beckite as Bat Boy!!!

THANK YOU BERNIE!!! America's Senator! Sen. Bernie Sanders (a BuzzFlash Favorite and a BuzzFlash Reader) Will Put Hold on Nomination of Bernanke for Second Term as Chair of Federal Reserve.
“In this country, there is profound disgust at what happened on Wall Street,” Mr. Sanders said in a telephone interview. “People want a new direction and people are asking, where was the Fed? How did the Fed allow this to happen, when one of their mandates to oversee the safety and soundness of the banking system?”

We don't inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children - Native American proverb
If being cold means there's no such thing as global warming, does being full mean there's no such thing as world hunger?

I told this joke to my 75 year-old mother yesterday and she didn't think it was very funny.

I liked it because it had two punch lines and both were good.
