It's really been an honor getting to know Mike, and Candy, and realizing just how much good they've done in this world, through Mike's music and generosity and Candy's incredibly difficult and emotional work with addicts who really need the help.
The Finnigans are one hell of a family. Thanks again, as always, Mike.

Hasn't Africa suffered enough?

Creates at least the possibility of a truly festive holiday season.

Got to love anyone that can blame "biased thermometers" with a straight face.
If a thermometer is placed in a spot where it always reads slightly higher than it really is, then when you compare it's own readings over time, wouldn't they still show the same rise in temperature?
* There are two types of Republicans: millionaires and suckers.
"Mugsy's Rap Sheet": Recording history for those who seek to rewrite it.
Repug logic and toss out all of the high temps then average out.
'We, the People'............rimshot................hahahahahaha!
Rectal thermometers are his friend.

Rectal Thermometers are not the only thin................oh, you know where its going.
'We, the People'............rimshot................hahahahahaha!
be sticking my neck out too far, but it certainly seems as though the Republican Synod of the Christian branch are a very cynical, possessive, hateful, and cruel bunch, for supposedly following the teaching of Jesus.
it makes one ponder the notion that we should jettison this whole religious thingee and try to get along without it?
Or should we just jettison the whole Repug thingee and redefine what "conservatism" is all about?
'We, the People'............rimshot................hahahahahaha!
we should eradicate religion ASAP.
Perhaps Candy Finnegan could help by conducting a world-wide intervention, as religious belief is every bit as much an 'addiction' as problems with alcohol, drugs, rage, sex, etc.

Didya happen to catch the pregame show?
Some douchebag commentator totally slams Olbermann...who was also commentating on the same program.
KO corrected himself and then said sorry for the mistake or something like that, then the asshole said that's not the first mistake you've made...then the other commentators went silent for a few seconds....totally pissed me off.
make a mistake? And are you sure there have not been others? What should the other commentators have said. If Troy Aikman had been asked how many times would he have added the word "what" in an inappropriate place. You act like what we should care about football.

Jesus General has a link to a Debbie Schluessel post on the recent "Muslim highjacking." Some commenter has posted (currently the first comment) a screen grab of Debbie which proves she has been gorging on the snack cakes for which she is named.

I believe there's a nepotism exception for Mike's wife (especially if the piece is about helping others). I heard it at the last blogger ethics panel.

Nothing changes, some republican with connections wants somebody elses land. So the men with guns go and steal it.
