"the Republican Party -- and conservatism with it -- eventually will die out unless religion is returned to the privacy of one's heart where it belongs."
Just an absolutely brilliant statement and assessment of the plight of the GOP.
Oh sure, The Prop 8 thing passed, but it is only a matter of time before the courts step in. The Gay-bashing Repug Party is becomming irrelevent. My mother (A Right-winger of Biblical proportions) hasn't even called since the election. I guess she is too busy praying for the Rapture (She's been waiting since Y2K) or to pray for our unholy souls.
get these people out of here.(no offence to your mom)
More than $4 Trillion so far for the
BAILOUTRESCUEHEIST.Here is Amy Goodman.
$4 Trillion is MORE, when adjusted for inflation, than our cost for World War II.
This in one year. Without Congressional public hearings or accountability.
The Monetary Printing Presses are working overtime.
If you liked how that worked for the Weimar Republic or Argentina, you will love it here.
Or Zimbabwe, where inflation has hit
11,200,000TWENTY MILLION per cent. You think it CANNOT happen here?
Just wait, there is only ONE outcome to a Fiat Currency monetary policy:
Inflation. Or, if done with extreme dedication, HYPER inflation.
The panic of 2008 2009 2010 etc etc.
We will make them look like pikers.
Update
The DJIA is down ANOTHER 444 points. Nouriel Roubini who has consistently been ahead of the curve on his accuracy of predicting the crisis said not long ago the market will be in the 6000s range.
Looks to be sooner rather than later.
Put on your life jackets, this old tub is going down.
so right...the casino owners are trying to keep the game going, and they think that printing more and more chips is the answer.
Just wait till the dollar collapses...and it will...the laws of economics will not be denied.
Get your pitchforks and torches early, and avoid the rush.
Today stevens gave his last speach, and they all cheered him like he wasn't a convicted felon. Then they forgive Lieberman, more proof that there is no party. Just buddies scratching each others backs, at our expence.
Watching all those old white dudes applaud is like a punch in the gut. If it was up to me, ALL members should go.
Good performance by one of the biggest studs in Los Angeles!
Oh, and of course you were right, Huston was completely bullshitting on the Bush Doctrine. It was good to hear you bring up the Clinton presidency on judges, and Huston lied - Clinton had far more judges blocked than Bush. And Ginsberg was a consensus candidate approved by Orrin Hatch. Wow, and he's pro-torture and a torture apologist. And pretends that there's no proof of Rumsfeld's involvement. His rant about Palin being attacked for her religious beliefs was pretty bizarre and reeked of desperation. The major critiques of Palin in the MSM were based on her incompetence and to a lesser degree her constant lying. Nice point about other countries and socialism, too. After you left, Huston claims kids learn more about George Washington Carver than George Washington, and aren't taught enough that America is exceptional. Hmm, somehow I doubt that.
