boosh's legacy is lifting his hind-leg on the rest of us.

I think Obama is throwing a hail mary at the economy but Congress will not move as fast as the Wall Street bailout.

Obama wants the people involved, so the very least you can do is write your reps and tell them to pass the plan as fast as the Wall Street bailout.

The infastructure plan, or the tax increases plan? Sorry...tax increases first. Gas, cigs and alcohol have to go up! By 2010, there will be consumption taxes on toilet paper, dental floss, and of course, oxygen.

You have to see that post at the Aristocrats to believe it. They gave the post the perfect title.

Sorry for using my outside voice.

I thought that it might prove helpful to those eating breakfast.

Sign the card...

words cannot convey the absolute WTFness.

Don't let the door hit you in the butts on the way out. You'll go down in infamy forever if I have any say.

pickles will probably enjoy it.

But she's looking forward to returning to domestic life and humping her Whirlpool washer in the spin cycle.

I'll hold the door open for them if they will leave right now and take cheney with them.

I graduated from nursing school in '78 and was there to see a healthcare system that was in the top five world's best.

Even then, the insurance corporations were beginning their takeover of health care.

By '81 the introduction of DRGs (Diagnosis Related Groups) by the insurance corps. essentially dictated to the physicians how to diagnose patients according to the money they could expect to make.

If your diagnosis didn't fit their guidelines: tough shit!

I used to have an organ donor drivers license.

No more, unless my family needs parts, I'm taking them with me.

I'll go back to organ donor status when ANYBODY who needs transplants can get them.

I don't want some billionaire fuck seeing outta my blue eyes.

There are just so many things wrong with an insurance company being able to tell a doctor what he/she can and cannot do. It sounds criminal to me.

who started the regulations allowing that shit.

Thus was Kaiser able to begin the lucrative "HMO" movement.

In four decades the Republican Party, Insurance Corporations and Big Pharma have destroyed the US healthcare standard

and at great profit to the purveyors of these scams.

Talk about mass murder?

Corporations get away with it all the time

whether with war

or denyin' yer granny or yer child healthcare.

as much as Canada's socialized healthcare, is much better than the system you have, it's kinda screwed up right now too. Major hospitals are laying off nurses, and the same time advertising at the Employment office that there is a nurse shortage and they require more. Like, WTF?

and replacing them with cheaper, inexperienced staff...

taht's how we do it here in the United States of Marketing...

Reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Homer thinks he's seen a UFO. The whole town of Springfield show up in the field where they think they see a glowing space alien who says in a light sing-song tone, "I bring you love and peace."

Lenny Leonard yells, "Quick rush him, he's bringing us love and peace!" and the whole town attacks the space critter.

that since the invention of digital camcorders and cheap video cameras, that there aren't as many "UFO sightings" as there were before?

They started leaving souvenirs behind?

Ha!

I was under the impression that maybe they figured out there isn't much in the line of intelligent life.

The story at Skippy's site gave me the heebie jeebies. I guess that's what you get when all you go for is cheap.

Winner of this year's Miss Wisilia contest:

You're not sending us on a wild moose chase, are you?

Dan Fejes writing (I believe), in conclusion:

While I don’t doubt the potential for Obama to move to a more establishment-friendly position or D.C. Republicans’ ability to continue to act with no sense of self-preservation, it is possible that the two might - even inadvertently - put some powerful forces into play. Expect the likely targets to resist mightily.

Powerful forces into play? Like the powers that be? The ones that were and will be again?

Just thinking out loud here.

To the GOP, that we never heard stories of Bush getting a blow job in the Oval Office means "honor and dignity" was restored. Polite Villagers aren't as troubled by wars of choice, lying us into war, cooking intel, pissing away money to cronies, spying on Americans illegally, or torture.

Meanwhile, clearly those UN workers and children with dead mothers hate freedom.

I'm not at all surprised to hear Israel firing on UN aid workers. Their sole purpose is to shut up anyone who might see the truth of their war crimes. They've effective barred the media from the Gaza strip so that they can do what they please.

42 years ago they conspired to bring the US into the 1967 Arab Israeli war by deliberately attacking the USS Liberty, a US Navy spy ship that was listening in to the communications from both sides. What better way to conceal their atrocities? When the US lauched nuclear-equpped fighters from our 6th fleet carrier to retaliate, it was their intention to get the US to bomb Cairo. Our fighters were recalled twice, all the while the Liberty was suffering attacks from the air and later torpedo and gunfire attacks from Israeli gunboats. 34 men died and many more were wounded. And Israel and the US conspired in the cover-up that followed.

I'm sorry for what happened to the Jews in the Holocaust, but they've used that old chestnut long enough. It is time for the US to cut off the military teat Israel feeds on.
