Tom Peters and Robert Waterman's seminal book In Search of Excellence probably had more of an impact on my business education 25 years ago than any other book I read as a Management major in college. It made me realize that there was a way to be successful in business without losing your soul. Of course, that was 25 years ago, before Reaganomics sucked any semblance of ethics out of Wall Street. But Tom Peters is still out there, lecturing on management and excellence. And in this video, I think he's made a salient point that anger fuels innovation. And it's that thought that gives me hope for our brothers and sisters at Occupy Wall Street protests throughout the country. People *are* angry. That rage can be the catalyst for the change we're looking for. It's definitely shaking things up among the Villagers. You know the old Gandhi quote: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” They've ignored us as long as they could, they've laughed at us and now they're fighting us. We just need to hold out long enough to win.
