notes the passings of journalist Tom Wicker and former Chicago First Lady Maggie Daley. In addition, the Pentagon has released the names of four service members killed in Afghanistan:

US Army PFC Adam E Dobereiner, 21, Moline, IL
US Marines LCpl Joshua D Corral, 19, Danville, CA
US Army PVT Jackie L Diener II, 20, Boyne City, MI
US Marines Cpl Zachary C Reiff, 22, Preston, IA

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Iraq is 4,801; in Afghanistan, 2,818, of which, 158 were Canadian. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 75 Iraqi civilians killed, for a month-to-date total of 215.
