McCain falls all over himself to apologize when his mother went after Romney's "Mormonism," but didn't seem to mind very much when one of his supporters called Hillary a bitch.
Instead, as the room erupted in laughter, McCain said he'd try to offer a "translation." Somebody in the audience shouted out, "I thought she was talking about my ex-wife." There was more laughter all around, and then McCain said: "That's an excellent question."
Is that an excellent question? Agree with her politics or not---this is all about gender---it's a disgrace---and McCain should have said so as forcefully as he distanced himself from the Romney remarks.
