"He's a massive tool."

Gust Avrakotos-"Charlie Wilson't War"

yup

DMT

Wilson's

1) i don't support the panetta appointment for several reasons, but DiFi has a lot of nerve with her criticisms. being one of the worst senators around (no easy feat), she should just keep her yap shut.

2) burris should be seated. in fact, from a legal perspective, i'm not sure how they refuse to seat him.

3) goooooooooooo franken!!!!!

4) rick warren is a dangerous fuck, and deserves scorn and ridicule.

Dawn Johnsen!

Give them hell.

Same old pathetic dem Congress. Spineless, unloyal, pitiful.

Rahm needs to make them an offer they can't refuse.

Get in line or end up like Richardson.

I agree with the axiom that the Constitution is a living document. And I like it when it gets some exercise. Bushco has sat it in front of a TV and fed it twinkies for the last 8 years. Lets send it to boot camp.

..we're gonna have to tape it back together.

The terrorist state of Israel has today shelled a UN school where Palestinian women and children were taking refuge. At least 40 have been killed at the school. UN officials in Gaza say they have given Israel the GPS coordinates of the school. The UN is now demanding an inquiry into Israel's actions.

Israel has a proven track record of targeting innocent civilians at UN compounds.

In 1996 it bombed a UN compound in Qana, Lebanon. Hundreds were killed. In 2006, a similar UN compound was targeted in Qana, Lebanon. Scores were killed there, as well.

israel is using weapons of mass destruction (DU shells) against the citizens in gaza too.

hello, war crime?

[use of DU shells breaches: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the Charter of the United Nations; the Genocide Convention; the Convention Against Torture; the four Geneva Conventions of 1949; the Conventional Weapons Convention of 1980; and the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, which expressly forbid employing 'poison or poisoned weapons' and 'arms, projectiles or materials calculated to cause unnecessary suffering']

Greenwald was also gushing over Dawn Johnsen. From what I've read so far, she's a great choice. And David Ehrenstein's right that any praise for Warren over AIDS work comes with major caveats at best.

As with the Mc/Pal campaign, all this bruhaha is starting to remind me of class elections in school. When are these people gonna grow up. Sometime we have to make decisions and the longer we wait the worse the situation becomes. Between the disputes over Burris and Franken, in the long run, who will end up looking like the biggest idiots. One thing I find interesting is that in the death throws of finalizing Shrub's Administratio, the Justice Dept is now investigating questionable behavior of Democratic Governors all while ignoring the crap that went on over the potentially wrongfully convicted former Alabama Governor. January 20th can't come soon enough.
