Blue America's new Blanche Lincoln ad: Demand an Up or Down vote!
By John Amato Tuesday Nov 10, 2009 10:00am
Blue America just produced a new ad that highlights the many payoffs she has received from the health Insurance industry and demands that she starts representing her constituents who unequivocally support the public option. I'm not much of a NASCAR fan, but you can see that the comparison we use in this ad matches her role well.
If you can, please help us to be able to blanket the entire state of Arkansas with this ad, because for a Democratic Senator to filibuster health-care reform is to become an active member of the teabagger/Republican party. She needs to vote for cloture and give Americans the right to an up-or-down vote and to be true to the will of the good people of Arkansas.
No, as we've been telling you all year, there's only one weak link worth trying to beat into submission: Arkansas' corrupt and reactionary-- don't those two terms always seem to find a way of cuddling up with each other?-- senior senator, Blanche Lincoln. Blue America has run TV spots against Lincoln all summer and fall and she's watched her re-elect numbers dwindle down to a place where if a serious opponent-- i.e., one with big bucks to buy advertising-- jumped into the race, she would lose. She may lose anyway, even though her current opponents would probably do better if they toured together as a carnival show. Yesterday the RNC started trying to push her to vote with Republicans-- as she so often does-- and against health care reform.
This week Blue America and our friends at Donkey on the Edge have a brand new ad for Arkansas voters to look at-- the fourth in our series-- and the message is very different from the Republicans'. By all means, be the first to view it-- and please consider making a contribution of our Campaign for Health Care Choice page so we can run it deep and wide.
If you live in Arkansas and contact Senator Lincoln, please let me know. Contact me at crooksandliars-AT-gmail.com. We need your help and so does America.

...............another Rahmocrate. See what RAHMIE THE ZIONISTWHORE has done to what used to be the democratic party. How does an unelected, paritison hack, rise to be THE Gatekeeper of 'our'???? (P)resident at the WH?????????
It would be WAY better if the thugs were in the majority. That way we could have all pure dems and the rethugs could decide what to bring too the floor.
RU kiddin me?
And JSYK Rahm was a congresscritter - elected to office and he plans to return to elected office.
Who voted for Miss. Hathaway?
Nancy Kulp (Hathaway), a total liberal, ran for office back in 1984, and Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett), a Republican, came out publicly against her. To be fair, she was claiming she had the support of all the Beverly Hillbillies, which apparently was not true, although Buddy behavior kind of prickish
Y'awl come back now, ya hear?!
Because the first three worked so well?
She's dropped many points since we started our campaign back in June.
I live in Arkansas and Blanche Lincoln never, ever responds to any of my emails. I must be placed in the "too liberal" bin on some staffer's desk...
All I know is that she is getting crap for advice on her re-election bid...
The NASCAR patches . . .
We should require them for all of the politicians.
"Donkey on the Edge"....priceless! LOL!
(R)ahmocrat twin sister?
I think this poor woman really needs to get laid.
OUT.
Blanche would break out of her 10 comments per hour or less slump here at C&L.
With this being Number 11, those hopes were dashed. And if it were not for three comments on the stubby fingered fiend from North Chicago, she might still be at seven.
What public option? It doesn't exist. Advocacy groups pushing for passage of this crap haven't read or analyzed the legislation.
The CBO estimates that "public" health premiums will be more expensive than private. States can be prevented from implementing single payer (a right granted in the bill) by legal action from insurers: the Kucinich amendment protecting states from such action was stripped from the approved house bill by the Obama administration).
A Streetcar Named Greed
“Whoever you are—I have always depended on the kindness of insurance companies."
Disturbed Blanche Lincoln is tormented by her whoring herself to insurance companies while the reality (lack of health care for her poor constituents) crumbles down around her….
There are some very fine people in Arkansas. Hopefully they can persuade her to care- so that people can receive the health care they deserve.
Public Option-“It’s good for what ails ya!”
Great Ad C / L ……
she's always depended on the kindness of insurance companies. She doesn't want realism, she wants re-election.
For years we heard the Republicans crying UP or DOWN vote! UP or DOWN vote! Now it's the Democrats turn...what a sad two party system we live in.
she's part of the Dem Party is may join a filibuster against her own party. Republicans wanted to change the Senate rules for judges because 10 out of 200 judges weren't approved. it's not the same thing..
I think Lincoln is not well informed about any number of topics, starting with economics and competition.
If she wants better health care for her state, she has to change the economic monopolies that focus on pay-per-service. Anything else is just spitting in the wind.
