William Donohue at Justice Sunday
Let the Wingnuttery begin!
Let's see if this is what the MSM will attach to Bill Frist. I doubt it. Will they even notice his attack on Harry Reid?

A simpleton speaking simpleton to simpletons. The gauntlet has been laid down. There's a lot of bullshit, misleading, and flat out wrong statements in Frist's video. The corporate press is already responding and giving him a pass.
Frist says that his opponents call it the "Nuclear Option." Your own party labled it Frister, don't you even know that much?

Will the MSM Hold Frist Accountable for the hate speeches today?
via AmericaBlog:
Remember last fall when Whoopi Goldberg made a joke about Bush at a Kerry fundraiser and the GOP went crazy? Ken "Straight but not on the record" Mehlman called it a "hatefest." The lapdogs in the mainstream media all obediently tagged Kerry with Whoopi's remarks. It was such a scandal....neverminding the fact that Whoopi is a comedian....
So, the early evidence is that the MSM isn't holding Frist to the same standard Kerry faced. The people holding this conference aren't comedians. They are extreme activists with a hard core agenda. And, they are bashing other elected officials and other religions.
If the MSM holds Frist to the "Whoopi" standard, he will be responsible for the remarks of every other speaker at the conference. Their words are his words by the GOP's own standard.

On This Week, Joe Biden had this to say:
STEPHANOPOULOS: Senator Biden, we only have a few seconds left. Let me just ask you a quick question. David Broder of The Washington Post floats a possible compromise this morning. He says, "The Democrats should allow these seven to get an up-or-down vote in return for a promise from President Bush to have no recess appointment and a promise from the Republican leadership to allow each one of these seven to be debated extensively." Is that good enough for you?
BIDEN: No, but I think we should compromise and say to them that we're willing to -- of the seven judges -- we'll let a number of them go through, the two most extreme not go through and put off this vote and compromise. Let me read what the American Enterprise says: "Judicial activism will have to be deployed. It is plain that the idea of judicial deference is a dead-end street for conservatives." That's what this is all about. This is about ensuring that we have judicial activists.
The filibuster has always been available to stop extremes.
This would be a huge mistake. The democrats have already compromised by approving over 200 of the judicial nominees so far and they need to stand firm with Harry Reid. President Bush is the one who is unwilling to do so by submitting the same names that were already rejected. On top of that, it would also legitimize the foolish Justice Sunday crowd and give them the appearance that the pressure they are exerting on the Republican party is paying off.
A group of ministers representing about 17 Baptist churches in the Louisville area and a national Baptist committee that supports separation of church and state yesterday called on a Louisville church to cancel its planned "Justice Sunday" tomorrow.
"We see 'Justice Sunday' as part of a larger effort to link church and state in ways not seen in America since the Puritans were hanging Quakers on Boston Commons and exiling Baptists to Rhode Island," the Rev. Joe Phelps, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, said during a news conference yesterday.
But there are no plans to cancel the event, said the Rev. Kevin Ezell, senior pastor of Highview Baptist Church, where the national Christian telecast will be based. More
