I don't know about you, but I'm pretty glad that Sabbath is back. Their return started with the release of the single, "God is Dead", this past April and culminated with the release of their new album this past June. Yes, it would seem that the group has gone back to its classic, early sound with plenty of added audio compression. Their new album, 13, was produced by Rick Rubin, who has quite a few good albums under his belt, so they're in pretty good hands. Although three of the original members were up for the reunion, original drummer Bill Ward would not be participating, which he explained in a very polite and eloquent open letter on his website. However, they did get Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk to fill the role on the album. Their live drummer, Tommy Clufetos, has been performing as Ozzy's solo drummer for the past few years and has been doing a great job with Black Sabbath at their live shows. Regardless of who's behind the kit, the band still sounds awesome and the new album is definitely worth a listen for any Sabbath fan.
