George Bush bought his "ranch" down in Crawford in 1999 shortly before he started running for president. And now that he's done with politics, he is moving out of there as soon as he possibly can.
Well, it's what most of us suspected - all total bullshit. He was never a cowboy. That ranch had nothing on it. No cows, no farming, just a lot of bullshit brush that Bush pretended to clear (for what fucking purpose?). The ranch was always a political gimmick. It was purchased so that Bush could play the role of the Texas cowboy when in fact he has always been the Andover cheerleader.
So, that pisses me off a little bit. And his brazen abandonment of the ranch as soon as he is out of office just throws it in everyone's face, as if he's saying, "You didn't really believe all that cowboy bullshit, did you? You weren't that stupid, were you?"

Truth is, most of probably KNEW it was all bullshit after reading about the many "near-catches" of bin Laden that just never seemed to pan out. For years I've thought it was all bullshit because Bush was so close to the bin Laden family, and family in Saudi culture is extremely important. You don't remain friends with someone who's really intending to take one of your family down.
Just like he was a "vet".
I thought it was worth mentioning that right after 9/11, when organ donor patients were being allowed to die for no flights to bring donated organs to them, 119 members of Osama BinLaden's family were allowed to fly out of the US without even being questioned. Nobody has ever been able to document who signed to permit this travesty. Research the Bush family's ties to the Bin Laden family ofer several generations, and you will probably develop a STRONG SUSPICION OF WHO PERMITTED IT!!

Bushco claims that Bin Laden admitted to carrying out 9/11, except the guy on the videotape is clearly not Bin Laden. Also, US intelligence agencies have for years had the ability to fake recordings of anyone's voice saying anything, as long as they have a voice clip to use as a source. OBL's probably been dead for years, and before that, he worked for/with the CIA.

The cowboy mentality to me has been a masculine way of thinking (generalization alert!) so I have always been disappointed in the response that women (I am male) have had to the whole Bush presidency. The support they gave him after 9/11 - where was (generalization alert!) the feminine attitude of bringing people together - to not resort to the cowboy mentality. It was one of the most disheartening things about this whole 8 years. Men - yeah stupid, knee jerk, violent (generalization alert!)- we knew that but I thought back then - the women (or more precisely the people that work toward consensus) that they will be that margin that keeps this thing in check and then I saw polling data.
