Truly, Republicans have no shame. They have a culture of lies and emotional manipulation, and they recognize no boundaries of decency. From Media Matters:

After the Department of Justice announced it would move toward convicting 9/11 terrorists in a New York City courtroom, Congressional Republicans raced to condemn the decision.

Because Republicans believe that their political fortunes improve when the country is fearful, party leadership jumped at the chance to scare people. Yet as is often the case, the House Republican Caucus' overzealous, far-right members crossed the line.

As Media Matters Action Network first noted yesterday, Rep. John Shadegg declared the decision meant Mayor Bloomberg's daughter would be "kidnapped at school by a terrorist."

Not to be outdone, Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas suggested yesterday that Democrats may actually want another terrorist attack because rebuilding the city would create jobs.

As Republican Congressman Peter King of New York put it to the New York Daily News, "in some parts of the country, I guess anti-New York remarks still pay off."

Rep. King is often regarded as one of the most porcine, foolhardy talking heads his party offers. It's a shame that for all his usual histrionics, he has failed to realize that the majority of his own party doesn't consider him as being part of "real America." A smarter man would walk away, but nobody will ever accuse Peter King of being too smart.

They ain't in the right-wing who want us all to cower in fear and hide our faces with the threat of the terrorists with super-powers. Their powers are so great, they were tortured and they didn't reveal any important information.

Real Americans don't run and hide. Bring the trials on.

I will never forget having sobering thoughts in the aftermath of 9/11, thinking, here's our chance to prove to the world what kind of nation we really are, a nation of laws not of men, a nation who would bring the terrorists to justice. We got lies from our leaders about the fight to bring the bastards to justice and now many of the supporters of that corrupt administration are telling us to cower in fear - F YOU! I just won't

...trying to convince my self that being fair and 'centrist' was the way to go, I can tell you, no. I tried to rationalize a belief in fiscal conservatism. Then I got educated, and actually studied the economy, and came to one conclusion; the Conservative movement has NOTHING to offer except fear and platitudes. Yet, America will vote them back into power next election because the Democrats wussed out on their big promises, and the Republicans held back the rest, even with a Senatorial super-majority. My thinking is, less than a week into the new session, after the Republicans have been voted back into power, they will bring articles of impeachment against the President and try to have him removed from office.

That's interesting. Wasn't Dick Cheney quoted as saying 'What this country needs is another Pearl Harbor like attack to wake it up."? If another 'terrorist' attack were to occur anywhere on our soil or anything, God forbid, were to happen to the President...the first people I would start to investigate would be the GOP. Surprise, surprise, yet another militant group has made itself known. They call themselves 'Oath Keepers'. They take the same pledge as a military officer. Except they exclude the statement "I will obey the President of The United States". If an investigation were to be done, I would bet my last dollar that the Republican Party is not only encouraging, but also funding this sudden increase in militant groups. With all the outrageous statements and behavior coming out of the GOP and along with the rise in the numbers of militant, gun toting groups, strikes me as being more than just coincidence.

God's speed and protection President Obama.
