Hallelujah, everybody say 'Cheese'

Merry Christmas from the family!

If you've never had the chance to hear alt-country star Robert Earl Keen do this song live, you should go do it before you're dead. (I heard him do it in Philadelphia's tightly-packed North Star Bar some years back and everyone was singing along at the top of their lungs. Did I mention it was during an August heat wave?)

Keen is a long-time star in the Austin folk music firmament, friends with the likes of Nanci Griffith and Lyle Lovett.

And of course, there's his best-known song, "The Road Goes On Forever," the ultimate story song.

BTW There's a great article on Keen at this New Yorker link.

And tonight our sister site Newstalgia has Jethro Tull live at the Hammersmith Odeon, 1984.
