Imus: Santorum wants a three way

Isn't it interesting that the people who have so many issues regarding sex resort to sexual references when it suits them. There's a lot more in the interview, especially the love he shares with Judy Miller for Chalabi.

Emailer: Rick was selling the Administration's line on the CIA leak/forged Niger documents and Imus sure as hell wasn't buying any of it. And when Rick realized this, he broke up the argument by suggesting that Imus's wife called him up and asked if he would participate in a threesome. It was really quite creepy. (about the 9:35 mark)

Santorum: Did your wife tell you that she called me the other day?
Imus: She didn't.

Santorum: She didn't?

Imus: No, what about the autism thing?
Santorum: Well she called and the first thing she said to me was you know Suzanne Wright? I said sure and then she says, well I'd like to do a threesome.

What? (Imus stopped cold in his boots)
Imus: I think she meant a conference call.

On Bill Frist

Imus: I felt bad you were standing behind Bill Frist who is clearly going to jail. We used to have him on, but then you know-ahh he just became so ridiculous, particularly with that Terri Schiavo thing and now with this whole stock scam-we have enough crooks on my program...

Mehlman Conference Call-Questions ended session

It looks like a few people got through that weren't republicans and asked some questions that seemed to end the conference call prematurely.

Scotty's Press Conference on Harriet Miers Religion

Yesterday's press conference had the news gaggle going gonzo about Harriet's religion...It's a small clip from yesterday.

Religion is now fair game thanks to George Bush. Scotty is visibly frazzled. The Press is starting to wake up.

Q Why is Karl Rove calling up religious leaders telling them it's okay, she belongs to an ultra evangelical church?

Arlen Specter should have some fun with James Dobson soon

Arlen Specter should have some fun with James Dobson soon

Armando links to a WSJ article that says Mr. Dobson and other religious leaders were assured on a conference call Oct. 3rd:

" ...in which two judges close to Miers assured him that they had spoken with her about Roe v. Wade and that she had indicated she would vote to overturn it."...read on"

If this is true, Dobson lied to everyone about his Karl Rove conversations and methinks Arlen Specter will have his revenge on Dobson when the time comes. As I've stated before, Dobson tried to derail Specter in the past and I'm sure Arlen will have a grand old time calling the dog beater in front of his committee to explain this newest revelation.

Sullivan's email: Cheney

Andrew Sullivan gets an interesting email about the The Fitz conference that I agree with:" This story is just beginning. Ultimately, it's about Cheney."

Bush Speech: "Please save Trent Lott's House."

A picture named Bush-Katrina-Lott-house.jpg

He didn't really say that, but it was a bad analogy to make.

Seems this Press Conference should have been held a few days ago.

Atrios :We've got a lot of rebuilding to do. First, we're going to save lives and stabilize the situation. And then we're going to help these communities rebuild. The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch. (Laughter.)...read on

NAACP CALLS FOR EVACUEES TO TAKE CONTROL

I just got off the phone with Bob Brigham, Lindsay Beyerstein , and Kyle from AmericaBlog. They are down in the Gulf Coast reporting and helping people to survive this tragedy. They haven't slept much in the last four days and are looking for some new volunteers to help out. They reported that Dr. Ernest Johnson of the Louisiana NAACP called today for Katrina evacuees in shelters to take control of their own destinies by forming SHELTER COMMITTEES. It's apparent that many of the people displaced need some leadership in the shelters that have been set up. I'll have some video sent to me soon about our conference call and you will see first hand what's happening to those who have lost their homes.

Sen. Dodd Taking Action

The timeline below tells the story of how Secretary Rumsfeld and the Department of Defense have repeatedly failed to comply with Section 351 of Public Law 108-375, which requires the implementation of a reimbursement program for members of the United States Armed Forces who have been forced to purchase their own body armor or other protective, safety or health equipment for use in Iraq or Afghanistan.

In the Marine Corp Times: At a Thursday news conference, Dodd said he is not sure why it is taking so long and wonders whether the Pentagon intends to actually reimburse anyone. “The administration is either showing complete incompetence or utter indifference,” he said. “It feels as if I am getting a rope-a-dope with them, hoping I would go away.”...read on
