Sean Hannity shamelessly camped out at Terri's hospice for almost two weeks and allowed his guests to mercilessly attack her husband Michael endlessly. When all the evidence came back that supported Terri's diagnosis, Hannity never offered up an apology for his behavior. In this segment he tries once again to smear Michael by asking Carla if he was the one that started this investigation. Her own actions speak to the issue. As far as I'm concerned she couldn't be booted out of the medical field fast enough.
Last year Hannity was busted by Harry Shearer coaching the nurses before they went on camera. (see video ) Here's a video segment on H&C (with Malkin) when all 89 complaints against Michael were found to be false. They also tried to blame Terri's condition on Michael which also was proven to be false.
On June 15, 2005-I posted this:
Terri Schiavo did not suffer any trauma prior to her 1990 collapse and her brain was about half of normal size when she died, according to results released Wednesday of an autopsy conducted on the severely brain-damaged woman. Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner Jon Thogmartin concluded that there was no evidence of strangulation or other trauma leading to her collapse. “The brain weighed 615 grams, roughly half of the expected weight of a human brain. … This damage was irreversible, and no amount of therapy or treatment would have regenerated the massive loss of neurons.”
Well the evidence is in. Poor Terri was in PVS and had no hope of recovery. Violence by her husband Michael Schiavo was also ruled out as the cause for her injury. I hope this closes the book on this case, except of course for Mark Furman’s, but how will all those who called Michael a murderer feel? Will Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough go on the air today and concede they were wrong while embarrassing themselves in the process? Of course not because they have no shame.
Bill Frist’s ability to diagnose patients by video now has got to be called into question.<snark> Tom Delay’s actions to have a bill passed for political gain becomes an even greater humiliation for him and all that took part including George Bush.
Will the extreme religious right come out in full force and admit Terri’s fate should have been left up to the courts and her husband? Will the Church that excommunicated Judge Greer allow him to return? (I wouldn’t go back there.) Will the sycophants return all the money they made off of Terri, including the infamous donation list? And remember all those balloon video tapes? That wasn’t happening either. This also proves how screwed our media is. (Like we didn’t already know.) How the Villagers allowed all these insane people to parade across our TV screens for thirteen straight days; proclaiming their version of “truth” and never having their credentials questioned. This includes Randle Terry and others like him who were presented as normal, rational people. What a truly disgusting display of out-right lunacy in American politics.
Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler tossed his hat into the 2014 Governor's race to unseat Democrat John Hickenlooper in September of this year, and has been working to capture an early lead when he suddenly suspended his campaign in order to send his resources into a local school board election.
Understandably, this has outraged many, including the good citizens of Douglas County, the focus of Gessler's efforts. Denver Post:
Republican Secretary of State Scott Gessler says his passion for education reform is why his 2014 gubernatorial campaign is shifting gears over the new few days to focus on electing a conservative slate of candidates to the Douglas County School Board on Tuesday.
But Gessler’s announcement, both in an e-mail and on Facebook, has attracted critics who contend the state’s top election officer — and a former elections law attorney — is violating campaign finance laws with announcements about “paid opportunities.”
Not at all, said Gessler’s political director Rory McShane.

A rash of sensational, context-free reporting is needlessly alarming the public about what’s happening in America’s health insurance markets as a result of Obamacare. Making matters worse, it’s set against a backdrop of relentless, intentional…

As an audience of 600 Republicans awaited the arrival of Sen. Ted Cruz Friday night at the Iowa Events Center, conservative Christian activist Steve Scheffler came to the podium to give thanks to God for the Tea Party savior — and plead for more principled conservative leaders like him willing to “be crucified for their belief system.”
Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait just a damn minute. He’s Jesus?
Last week, Tom DeLay compared himself to Moses returning from the wilderness, and now Cruz is Jesus Christ. I guess they want Boehner to be John the Baptist so Salome (who is obviously Sarah Palin) can get his head on a platter.
Republicans, who are more second-rate snake oil salesmen than Biblical giants, need to stop with this stuff before we start asking for miracles. The minute they start hurting people, they clutch their hands to their chest and go full martyr in 60 seconds or less.
