I am a communist. As long as you consult Mikhail Bakunin.
Just leave Marx and especially Lenin out of the question.

Hello Peter, thank you for the kind words.
I am flitting about the digital landscape per usual. More or less.

Jerry White candidate for president, Socialist Equality Party here.
Rocky Anderson candidate for president, Justice Party here.
Jill Stein candidate for president, 'Green Party frontrunner': statement per her website, here.
Roseanne Barr candidate for president, endorsee Green Party Black Caucus, led by Cynthia McKinney, here.
And others, I presume.
Are there jokes in these candidacies? My view is the legacy parties have a monopoly on the jokes, and they are all bad, because they are on us.

There are musicians who spend their lives perfecting their craft. They study, they practice and they pay their dues/
I am one.
I am offended by commercial knock offs who barely pretend.
'Chicago' was barely alright. As with all products of the corporate veld, it was something stuffed down the otherwise unknowing consumers.

Terrible time, these guys could barely play.
But then it was well before the click track and the tyranny therein.

- In 1969, subverted LBJ's Vietnam peace overtures.
- In April 1970, invaded Cambodia without Congressional authorization (though the incursion was otherwise a year old).
- In 1970 issued the 'Gold Shock' removing the last vestige of gold convertibility from the US dollar.
- In 1971 allowed the first proto-derivative in the form of currency futures. It was off to the races.
- In 1971 created the 'Plumbers Unit'.
- In 1972 oversaw the Watergate coverup.
- In 1972 went to China. His legacy is the outsourcing overturn of the EPA and OSHA internal concessions.
- In December 1972, mercilessly bombed North Vietnam into 'accepting our concessions'.
There is more.
Liberal?
Tricky Dick was an appellation well deserved.

SEP presidential candidate Jerry White campaigns in Detroit, here.
Who else is running?
Jill Stein, Green Party, here
Rocky Anderson, here.
Who am I going to vote for?
I didn't vote for Obomber last time, there is even less reason this time.
Mitt, what's his name? Oh Gawd…
The two legacy parties are corporate work-a-likes.

And there is asset forfeiture which can be a real bonanza.
It can be used for a variety of alleged crimes. Or even non-crimes for that matter. Which is yet another hole punched in the constitution, for some time now.

I took the test four years ago. From my notes I was right in with Chomsky, Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Ghandi. Far better company than I deserve to even mention. From the bottom left, the second square over and up bottom corner. I don't have the numbers.
Maybe I will take it again, I am definitely more informed (and I hope wiser) now than back then.
As my moniker for some time I had "anarchists unite".
I was attacked for it.
Anarchists coalesce would have been more sensible, and low and behold comes the Occupiers.
Exactly what I had in mind, though I couldn't know it.
But then I always mean anarchist more in the classic sense of Proudhon and Bakunin.
The American propagandists ruined the term by insisting that it meant people of violence.
To some maybe it does, not me. But I can't change the world.
So maybe that term can't be used anymore. Although David Graeber uses it. But then he is a brilliant mind. Some say the anti-leader leader of the occupiers.
Social libertarian is an equivalent in Europe except the American Libertarians, who are anything but socially minded, have ruined that term.
The Soviet propagandists ruined the term socialist, by claiming that was what they were (with the help of the Americans who were only too glad to help, given the mileage that accrued in claiming that socialists are totalitarians).
And of course, to the Reptiles, anyone who was against their imperialism was a communist. No matter what their political leanings.
All these terms ruined.
Now they have the term 'terrorist' and that may be the ultimate in nebulous vilification.
Who is to worry about being disappeared when they can simply assassinate you, after calling you a terrorist and poof.
They never could do that with a so called communist.

Thanks for thinking of me, I still value this Open Thread and the people who comment, but I am concerned about Eric Holders' dangerous assertion that due process does not mean judicial review.
I have been busy scouting the blogs that have taken notice.
One is here.
More here.

I took that test once upon a time. I was a couple squares up and over from the bottom left.
I am not a red, so to speak.

This President has asserted the authority to assassinate American citizens.
He has acted on that presumed authority.
How do you stand with that.
This is government by assassin in chief.

Ron Paul's blood, on social issues, runs as cold as the rest of the reptiles.
But when he speaks against welfare for the wealthy and against the MICC, salute him.
No one else of these corporate stooges will say such things, Obama first and foremost, though he does give a good speech. It is propaganda.
I want to hear a debate between Ron Paul and Barack Obama.
I won't vote for either one, but it will be telling.
