WE GO HIGH - Utkarsh Ambudkar ft. Christopher Jackson, Brit Manor, Arthur Lewis

My brilliant, beautiful, brave niece visited me this week. She is currently teaching in NYC, after spending years in far-flung places like Egypt, Turkey and Shanghai, teaching ESL. Her current classroom is much like the people in this video, which she shared with me and my girls: Multi-cultural, diverse, and inclusive. And for me, THIS is America, not the America that Trump and his white nationalists want.

Our love is louder than their hate, though they won't go down without a fight. But ultimately, love will trump hate.

I have to believe that, for the sake of my kids. I started blogging here at C&L when my eldest started school. She turns 20 today. I want her to be able to go into her adulthood without fear...but there's still a lot of work to do. So keep going high.
