I simply cannot be convinced that the sitting president of the United States is not actively in the throes of a serious mental health breakdown, and we're all just being forced to ride it out with him.
In the most wee hours of Tuesday morning, Donald Trump uncorked one of his most truly unhinged Truth Social temper tantrums to date, directing all of his pent up ire and personal problems at Chicago's Governor J.B. Pritzker, demanding that governor allow him to flood the city of Chicago with federal troops like he's done in D.C. to control the "unchecked... record levels" of "violence."
Apparently all that "violence" was keeping Donald awake, as he took to his floundering Truth Social platform at around 3 am and declared, "Chicago violence is unchecked and at record levels."
"It has never been worse! This weekend 41 people were shot, 3 DEAD.”
He goes on to claim that "These numbers are becoming normalized. It is out of control!" before making the bold claim that the city of Chicago "will die if the Federal Government, a fine tuned crime fighting machine, is not invited in, by the Mayor or Governor, to HELP.”
"I am awaiting the call," Trump wrote into the void. "Nobody should be forced to live under these conditions. Like D.C. and others, they will have almost no crime, FAST! The State and City can’t do what I do. Governor Pritzker, CALL!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
This is far from the first time Trump has set his sights on Pritzker, who has long been a vocal and especially harsh critic of the president and is now considered a 2028 Democratic presidential nominee contender.
The president cites his self-proclaimed success in D.C. after deploying National Guard troops against US citizens in the August of last year, where they still remain and are slated to remain through the end of Trump's presidency. However, many of the troops who were sent to D.C. have begun to turn on Trump, saying that the president has "exploited" them.
