Now that is outstanding.
Does anyone remember the government cheese that Regan's administration handed out. It was really good. An odd program though - the cheese went to the poor and the elderly and my grandmother used to take a small block and give the rest to my mom. What does a 70 year old woman need with 10 lbs of cheese every month?
Money and enthusiasm, I don't believe Donnie ever imagined getting this far and it's become tiring work. The last thing Donnie wants to do is have to actually "work" at anything....he's 4 years old, this is exhausting.
I just hope Conway got her salary upfront - I expect her to be shytcanned, if she just doesn't flat out quit by October. Two months is a LOOOONG time to try to corral someone who can't be corralled.
I know he's running a terrible campaign. I know he isn't building much-needed campaign infrastructure. That makes it look as if he's throwing the fight. But he did all that in the primaries and got away with it.
People keep pointing that out, but it doesn't mean he had a plan to win the nomination, or that he has a plan to win the general now. Trump was able to exploit the GOP's own demonization of politicians and the political process, as well as appealing to the worst elements of the Republican base by openly saying the racist crap that appeals to them without qualifying or walking back the rhetoric. That's how he won the nomination. No one, even Trump, knew it would work.
But where does he go from here? How can he "pivot" and appeal to undecided voters and independents without alienating his base? I don't think he can...and judging by the way he's been running his campaign, I don't think he has any clue what to do now. I don't see a viable path to the White House for Trump, and it's becoming obvious that more and more Republicans realize Donnie's a lost cause - which is why the are starting to talk about giving up on the presidency and trying to salvage what they can in the down ballot races.
