Dining upon radicalized conservatives can be tough going as they are reported to be gamy and tough to chew....so aid our conservative cousins in their dining upon their own by sending them some ketchup
Lost 4 in a row crying every Sunday. :(
I haven't kept up with this stuff since I got out, save in passing it on the web, but even a BB Stacker like myself could tell the tech wasn't ready for sea trials, much less combat duty.
We had a F4 launch that went bad on the Forrestal when I was on board. detent snapped halfway through the cat launch. F4 went off the bow, couldn't recover, had nowhere near the airspeed needed to save itself. I think the RIO ejected safely, but the pilot didn't. I may have that backwards. Anywho, I was down in one of the forward mags that day, doing the usual PMS stuff. The ship ran the Phantom over. We could hear it scraping along the hull as we went by. The magazine I was in was 40 below the surface.
Once we went to Philly for drydock and refit, we all went down to see the scar the plane left on the hull.
PS if anyone ever gets a chance to see a big ship sitting in drydock, go down and look. Seeing something as huge and massive as an aircraft carrier (The Forrestal, CV-59, was the first of the "SuperCarriers" Displacement:59,650 long tons (60,610 t) standard
81,101 long tons (82,402 t) full loadLength:990 ft (300 m) at waterline
1,067 ft (325 m) overall)sitting on what amounts to wooden blocks, is pretty impressive. And intimidating, when you're standing under it.
Nah, if I sounded like a republican, I'd be here spreading smears about Clinton.
Yes. I vote in as many election as I am legally permitted...
