"Paul said he'd favor transferring federally owned land back to state control."
How is he going to do that? The land in Nevada was never controlled by the state. The state was captured from Mexico during the Mexican war in the 19th century.
Hey, when you control the executive branch, legislature, AND judiciary it's tough to lose.
While many still debate the ultimate causes of the Civil War, Pulitzer Prize-winning author James McPherson who's an American Civil War historian, and is the George Henry Davis '86 Professor Emeritus of United States History at Princeton University. He received the 1989 Pulitzer Prize for Battle Cry of Freedom. who by the way had a much higher IQ than you and didn't lie about it writes that, "The Civil War started because of uncompromising differences between the free and slave states over the power of the national government to prohibit slavery in the territories that had not yet become states. When Abraham Lincoln won election in 1860 as the first Republican president on a platform pledging to keep slavery out of the territories, seven slave states in the deep South seceded and formed a new nation, the Confederate States of America. The incoming Lincoln administration and most of the Northern people refused to recognize the legitimacy of secession. They feared that it would discredit democracy and create a fatal precedent that would eventually fragment the no-longer United States into several small, squabbling countries." McPherson's works include The Struggle for Equality, awarded the Anisfield-Wolf Award in 1965. In 1988, he published his Pulitzer-winning book, Battle Cry of Freedom. That's the long and short of why we had to beat the crap out of the Confederacy why we shouldn't be afraid of doing it again.
In fairness, that article came from the AP. So it hit all the wires.
"GOP legislators should simply cut to the chase and proclaim that the only Americans who have a legitimate right to vote are those who are registered members of the Republican Party."==================Bullsht.ALL US CITIZENS who can PROVE they are citizens should be able to vote. No one else. Notice this goddam ruling is about not having to prove a person is even a goddam CITIZEN.Now I ask...WHICH party would want NON citizens to vote, maggot? We ALL know the answer to that question.
